Walk In The Old Paths

The Word of God is still the same.
His plan will never change.
The path is narrow and straight;
And can only be found in his holy nam
e.

He is the Anointed One, Messiah and God
Who came as a babe long ago.
He grew up to die on Calvary's hill;
And fulfill the Father's plan here below.

We walk in the paths set forth by our Lord
And follow his commands for success.
As we keep on the right road; He lightens our load,
And we know in our hearts this path is the best!

There are many ways of the Lord but the only true way is the path set forth in  the New Testament given by our Lord. We are no longer bound by the law or the many rituals which were performed in early Bible days.  However, we are to keep the same commands for obedience and holiness within our hearts and do those things He told us to do to prosper in our Christian walk. The old paths do not mean God cannot or will not do a new thing in our midst.  God can do all things and we cannot limit his power.  What he did in days of old, He can still do today.  His will and ways will always line up and agree with his Word.   Prayer lights the pathway to peace and throughout the years has moved the hand of God.

We are told to "ask for the old paths" as they are the good way.  The old paths are those which are tried and true given in God's Word.  If we ask, we shall receive that our joy may be full.  Once we know the path, we are to walk therein in order to have rest for our souls.  When we come to Jesus, we are told to give him our heavy burdens in exchange for his burden for souls.  His yoke that joins us to Him and others is of love and he tells us it is easy.  His burden is light which means that in Him, we will find the rest desired for our soul.

Just as the Saints of old followed the Lord on the right path and were blessed, we will also be blessed when we ask for the old paths.  His Spirit will go before us to lead and to guide us and our journey will be in happiness as well as our final destination.

Thanks to our Lord for giving us all we need to make it successfully through this life and assurance of entrance into eternal life.  As we enter into his presence, He will take us past the outer court that we might dwell under his shadow in the secret place of our Most High God.

   Blessings in Christ,
