PEACE
The peace of God passes our understanding,
As we lean upon the arms of the Lord,
His power will carry us as on him we stand,
While we walk through this life to our final reward.

There is no other friend who is like our God
He is Lord of Lords and our Savior,
There is no other who can save, heal and bless,
He keeps his children in his divine love and favor.

Rest in Him and lay down your heavy burdens,
As daily you trust in his grace,
He will carry you and hold to your hand,
As he guides you safely to the end of life's race.

A Place Of True Peace
"The eternal God is your refuge,
and underneath are his everlasting arms."
Deuteronomy 33: 27
If one grows weary and needs rest, we know there is a place in Christ
where true peace can be found. A spiritual refuge is a place of safety
from the trials and storms of this life. It is a spiritual place where
worry and anxiety can be laid aside as Jesus takes one in and they
abide in Him. Some refer to this refuge as "the secret place
of the Most High God" as in Psalm 91.
Under the shadow of the Almighty refers to God's protection and care of his children. God has promised all of his children this place of rest. His Word tells us He is our refuge and we can rest within his arms.
There is no true resting place where one could be safe other than in the spiritual arms or shelter of the Lord. Not only did Jesus come to us to give
us rest, but he also comes to rest within us, as we are the dwelling place
and temple of the Holy Spirit upon this earth.
God asked this question written in Isaiah 66: 1: "Where is the
house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be?" It sometimes
amazes us that our God, who is never weary nor sleeps, desires a place
in which to dwell. When we think about it, his choice of a dwelling place
is even more remarkable. "For the Lord has chosen Zion, he has desired it
for his habitation." The Scripture tells us, "This is my resting place
for ever and ever, here will I sit enthroned, for I have desired it." Our Lord will one day dwell in Zion and rule over the Nations and Zion
also refers to the Church in Christian thought. We are told many times
that God has chosen us, his people, to be his resting place.
Even though we are frail, human vessels of clay, God chose us as his dwelling
place on earth. There is a place within which anyone can prepare and make
for the Lord to dwell in. As we yield to his Spirit, he shows us how to
"put on the new man" and lay aside the works of the flesh. As we walk
in his Spirit, we never walk alone. He lives within and guides us in our
walk of faith. We can know Him today and always, one can find rest
in the Lord. He waits for all to seek Him and will always be there
to give true peace and rest. Only in Christ will we find a place
of true peace and rest.
Blessings in Christ,
