Powerful God

"But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing
aloud of thy mercy in the morning; for thou hast
been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble."
Psalm 59: 16.

Many doubt God's power and his awesome works
They deny He is still the same as in days of old,
Those who do not believe are only deceived,
God's power is eternal and is for every soul.

He is the living Son of God who died to set us free
He shed his life's blood for you and for me
There was no other sacrifice pleasing to our God
But his precious Son who gave his live on Calvary's tree.

Nothing is impossible for our God to do
He is a miracle working God,
He can roll back the waters or calm an angry sea,
He speaks peace in this land we now trod.

Trust in the Lord and believe in his works
Every day his mercies are new,
By his Spirit we receive power,
And strength to make it through.

He Hears Our Cries

"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show
thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."
Jeremiah 33: 3.

He will hear and answer
Every cry in faith unto his holy name,
His ear is never heavy
And the power of his name is the same.

There is never a problem too great
Our Lord knows how to solve each one 
He is the answer and is always right on time,
There is no one like God's only Son.

Just like he delivered the Israelites
From bondage in Egypt's land,
He will deliver each soul from sin,
If they will receive him and just hold to his hand.

Our Lord is mighty in power
He waits to hear our heart's cry,
If we draw near unto the Savior
We know to us He will draw nigh.
