If you need strength for the journey
Stop and rest along the way,
He will look upon you as you wait,
And hear you as you pray.

With his hand to guide us,
We know we are safely on the road home,
And with his Word to hide us,
We will never be alone.

His love is the greatest we could ever know
And his joy is our strength each new day,
He renews us as we onward go,
And will safely see us home if in Him we stay.

Are you tired and weary,
As you labor here below?
There is one who cares for you,
With a love that you can know.

Strength for the journey is ours to claim
There is power in our Lord.
Call upon him and the authority in his name,
He will lead us until we reach our heavenly reward.

"Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them. Who passing through the
valley of Baca make it a well, the rain also filleth the pools.  They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God." Psalm 84: 5-7

If we depend upon the Lord, he will give us joy in our hearts which is our strength.   We will be blessed by looking unto the 'Author and Finisher' of our salvation for the help we need, instead of to the world.  Our source of strength is in the Lord  and no other can offer help as He can.

In our Lord is the paths and highway to Zion, the heavenly City of God and righteousness.   The way has been prepared and we have been told to help others find the way to the Lord through repentance and change.  A humble heart is what our Lord desires  and a broken and contrite heart he will not despise.

We all have times in the journey that we will pass through the valley of weeping, but it can be a well of living water as we receive from the Lord.  We all go from  'strength to strength' in the Lord, and He revives us in Him as he gives us his peace and love.  Weeping may endure for a night, but we know joy comes in the morning.  The ways of our heart must lead to Zion and our journey will be one of joy in Jesus.  He accepts the prayers of his children who humble themselves to seek his face and turn from their wicked ways to embrace his righteous ways.

May our desire be to be strengthened by the Lord our strength.  If we wait upon Him, we have the promise that he will renew our strength.  If we are tired or weary, he will put a new zeal and desire within our hearts with his love and care for us.  His strength is for all and He stands ready to bless each new day.  As the praise song tells us, "call upon the Lord...He is worthy to be praised." "I will love thee, O Lord, my strength." {Psm. 18: 1.}
