Jesus
is as our tree of life, and in Him we are made
whole. When the dead in Christ are
resurrected and
those who are alive and in Christ that remain
are caught up with the Lord, they shall be
changed in
a moment in a twinkling of an eye.
They will have a new, incorruptible body which
is glorified forever.
Those
left behind will go through tribulation, but
it is thought there will be those who will be
born, and others which
may escape who did not take the mark of the
Beast or worship him, when
the Lord comes to fight the final battle.
When the Lord sets his Kingdom and government
up in Jerusalem and
puts all evil away, we shall rule and reign
with him 1,000 years during a time
of peace. One
opinion or view is that there will be people
born during this time and also earthly
people who will enter into the new earth in
their natural bodies.
The
Word tells us "flesh and blood"
shall not inherit he 'Kingdom of Heaven', but
many believe those who
live in this time period shall enter the
earth, (not inherit it), and be ruled and
reigned over by those
who have been glorified and changed
from corruption to incorruption. Many
think this group of natural people who have
entered the 1,000 years and do not rebel
with Satan at the end of the
1,000 years when he is loosed a
little season, will inherit the earthly
sphere of the universal Kingdom
of God, but will never inherit the whole realm
of God over the whole
universe, or the 'Kingdom of Heaven,' as
the glorified Saints who endured until the
end. This
is one view which many people express as to
who the Saints will rule and reign over as
Priest
and Kings of God and the purpose of the leaves
of the trees as shown in Scripture and
from what is called
tree of life.
New bodies for those in the
first resurrection
Death
will have no power over those in the first resurrection.
Corruption
will be laid aside by those in the first
resurrection and those raptured.
Therefore, these
will inherit a spiritual or glorified body
when resurrected or changed, as stated by our
Lord.
Have
you ever thought of who the Saints would rule
and reign over with the Lord? We
believe it is
those in God's plan who were not in the first
resurrection but endured the tribulation,
escaping the Antichrist and
enter
into the 1,000 year reign of Christ on Earth.
Those in the first Resurrection are called
"blessed of the Lord
and
holy, who have part in this resurrection, on
whom the second death has no power, and these
shall
be priests of God and of Christ, and shall
reign with him a thousand years.
Revelation
5: 10, says "And hast made us unto our
God kings and priests; and we shall
reign
on the earth." Those that wait upon the
Lord shall inherit the earth as well as the
meek who
shall delight themselves in the abundance of
peace. If one is a good and faithful
servant to
the Lord now, they have a promise that He
will make them ruler over many things,
and they shall
enter into the joy of the Lord.
Many
think those who were not in the first
resurrection but enter into the Millennium,
will
not taste of disease or death in their bodies
as they partake of the leaves of the
trees, and the
leaves which God's Word says are for the
healing of the Nations or medicine.
Ezek. 47: 12 The
word medicine in Greek comes from the meaning
'to heal, or thoroughly make whole, a remedy.
*These
are personal ideas or opinions on the leaves
of the trees which shall grow in that City
and
healing which the Bible refers to as the
purpose of the leaves. God's Word
tells us "he that
overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of
life, which is in the midst of the paradise of
God. Jesus
is spiritually our Tree of Life,
and we, as branches, have everything we
need supplied by our Lord.
In
the New Jerusalem and eternal age to come, the
curse shall be removed, and the Throne of God
and of the Lamb
will be in it and his servants shall
serve Him. When the curse is removed and
there is no sin or death,
what
a wonderful day this will be. The
Saints, as "salt" of the earth will
be preserved forever by our Lord God
in
an eternal covenant of salt, as sealing his
covenant as promised.
The
heave offerings were for the whole familyof
Priests forever, it was a covenant of salt
before the
Lord unto them forever as in Numbers 18: 19.
We must offer ourselves now as living
sacrifices unto the
Lord, and with prudence, which is symbolically
as "salt" and we will be acceptable
to our Lord.
*One of the greatest blessings or rewards we
could ever know, is to be able to serve
our God in all eternity!
