On Romans 8: 28
"All things work together for good for
those
who love the Lord, and are the called according to
his purpose. Romans 8: 28
This Scripture assures us everything will work
together for good if we love our Lord. If we
are called according to his purpose, we have this
blessed assurance. This is one of the very
first Bible verses I remember learning
as a small child and is one of my favorites.
My Grandmother had a small plaque made of ivory
which I remember as a child. It had this
verse etched on it which she claimed and believed
to be true. This small antique was later
given to me and although most would
not consider it valuable, it meant a lot to
me. Words placed in our hearts never really
depart from us when sown with love. I
remember the days she quoted this Scripture and
taught me to memorize it. I am thankful for
this promise I learned at a very young age.
With each passing year, we see the reality and
truth in knowing God's promises are all
"yes" and "amen."
Many things we may not understand will be revealed
to us by God when we seek Him and grow in
grace. One day we will have complete
understanding, and then see the full reality of
"all things working together for our
good" as God promised. Even though
there may be dark clouds and stormy days
around you, remember God is in the "eye of
every storm" and in full control if you
belong to Him. There is a silver
lining behind all the clouds of this life.
Everything will turn out alright if we only keep
trusting in God.
There is an old saying, "into every life a
little rain must fall." We know
it rains on both the just and the unjust but God's
judgments and righteousness always work for the
good of those who love Him. Regardless of
what you may be going through, there is one who is
going through
it with you. You are never alone as the one
who calms
the storms and says, "peace be still" to
the wind and waves is always there.
Hold on to the unchanging hand of Jesus. The
scars in his hands were bore in love, that he
might put the pieces of our lives back together
again. We are engraved in the palms of
his hands and He will never forget us. His
love is the greatest of all and never
fails. The scars in our lives remind
us of where he brought us from and where
we would be without Him. Our lives,
which were once torn and broken, were put back
together at the Potter's wheel by the hand of our
loving Lord and Saviour.
We can be thankful He did not throw the clay away,
but
took all the broken pieces and remade them into a
vessel
of honor, fit for the Master's use.
We would be nothing without our Lord and would be
drifting into the shores of eternity facing sudden
shipwreck and eternal separation from the
Lord. With Jesus as our Captain, we
will have a safe landing and
our ship will rest on Heaven's shores. We
serve a wonderful Lord who is always aware of
every tear that
falls and each hurt a heart may feel. He is
a faithful friend who gives us true peace in his
love. May we give thanks always for eternal
life and know one day we will be with
our Lord forever.
Blessings in Christ,

"The joy of the Lord is our strength."
All Things Work For Best
My life has been balanced
with pleasures and trials,
I've had many teardrops
and thousands of smiles.
I've soared to the moon
and I've plunged to the sand,
My life has been balanced
by God's loving hand.
I've had many friendships
I've had a few foes,
In the life of a Christian
that's the way that it goes.
Should I just accept
only good from God's hands?
No, I must endure
whatever He plans.
But I can be sure
and you can be, too,
All thinks work for best
as God deals with you.
