Seasons Of
Change
Ecclesiastes 3: 1
tells us "To
everything there is
a Season and a time
to every purpose
under the
heaven." There
is a time to be
born, and a time to
die; a time to
plant, and a time to
pluck up that which
is planted.
This is almost the
end of my favorite
season of the
year. Only God
can paint such
beautiful scenery
on the canvas of
this earth and
create a true
masterpiece.
As the leaves
changed from shades
of green to hues of
golden brown and
orange; God was
preparing the earth
for Winter, another
beautiful season and
a time of rest in
God's
creation. Soon
the Autumn colors
will completely fade
into the earth until
they blossom again
with new life and
color in the
Spring.
The Word of God is
likened unto seed
which is sown.
The soil where
spiritual seed is
sown is within the
hearts of men.
This seed when
received also goes
through seasons or
changes as it is
watered by
prayer. God's
Word will not return
unto Him void or
empty. It will
accomplish what He
intends it to do We
must pray for God's
Spirit to touch
hearts and change
"fallow
ground" into
fertile "holy
ground.".
Like the leaves of
the trees change
colors and fall to
the ground,
Christians
also
change from inside
the heart to the
outer man in all
Seasons. God makes
something beautiful
out of lives.
For everything there
is a season. Let us
praise God for He is
the Giver of Life
and of all good
things. He supplies
our daily bread and
every need according
to his riches
in glory. All we
have to do is seek
Him before
anything else,
and everything will
be added or given
unto us that we need
in this life. His
promises are true
and He is faithful
to fulfill them.
Remember, with Jesus
in your heart, you
are
never alone. Abiding
under the shadow of
the Cross and in the
secret place of the
most High God is the
best place to be in
all Seasons of Life.
Blessings in Christ,

"Offer unto God
thanksgiving; and
pay thy vows unto
the most High; and
call upon me in the
day of trouble and I
will deliver thee,
and thou shall
glorify me."
Ps. 50: 14-15
Portrait of a
Friend
I can't give
solutions to all of
life's problems,
doubts, or
fears. But I
can listen to you,
and together we will
search for answers.
I can't change your
past with all it's
heartache and pain,
nor the future with
its untold stories.
But I can be there
now when you need me
to care. I
can't keep your feet
from
stumbling. I
can only offer my
hand that you may
grasp it and not
fall. Your
joys, triumphs,
successes, and
happiness are not
mine; Yet I
can share in your
laughter. Your
decisions in life
are not mine to
make, nor to
judge; I can
only support you,
encourage you, and
help you when you
ask. I can't
prevent you from
falling away from
friendship, from
your values, from
me. I can only
pray for you, talk
to you and wait for
you. I can't
give you boundaries
which I have
determined for you.
But I can give you
the room to change,
room to grow, room
to be
yourself. I
can't keep your
heart from breaking
and hurting.
But I can cry with
you and help you
pick up the pieces
and put them back in
place. I can't tell
you who you are. I
can only love you
and be your
friend.

High Resolve
I'll hold my candle
high, and then
Perhaps I'll see the
hearts of men
Above the sordidness
of life,
Beyond
misunderstandings,
strife.
Though many deeds
that others do
Seem foolish, rash
and sinful too,
Just who am I to
criticize
What I perceive with
my dull eyes?
I'll hold my candle
high, and then
Perhaps I'll see the
hearts of men
