ABIDING IN THE SECRET PLACE
"For He shall give His angels charge over thee,
to keep thee in all thy ways."
Psalm 91:11
There is a place of safety and rest in the Lord where we can abide and have peace.
He that dwells in this secret place of the Most High God shall abide under
the shadow of the Almighty. There is no place that could be more secure than
under the very shadow of the Lord. We have ministering angels to watch over us
all along the way.
Psalms 91 is a chapter which is being quoted and claimed by a lot of people
today as we see the threat of attack on our Nation and war in this world.
It is not just knowing these verses and saying them that makes us safe, but it
is faith in the one who gives us these promises and knowing that He will
do all things that He has promised.
God is our Fortress and he will surely deliver us from the snare of the fowler
and from the noisome pestilence. His covering us with his wings and feathers is
symbolic of his care and protection as a mother hen cares for her little ones.
His truth is our shield and buckler. We give thanks to the Lord for every promise
He has given us and that we can dwell safely in his care.
He will never forsake us and know He will lift us up above the shadows of this life into his secret hiding
place by faith. When we are anchored in Jesus, we can make it safely through
all the storms of this life. We may not know what tomorrow holds, but we know
the one who holds tomorrow and can fully trust in his faithfulness each day.
