All
Gave
Some--Some
Gave
All
"He holds victory in store for the upright, he is a shield to those
whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects
the way of his faithful
ones."
Proverbs 1: 7-8.
We must remember each day those who serve our Country and take time
out for a moment of prayer for our Nation, our
President, lawmakers,
and all in active duty or reserves across this land as well as their families.
We also pray that we, as Christians, might see the admonition of our Lord
in 2 Chronicles 7: 14, as He promises... "If my people, which are called by
my name, shall humble themselves and seek my face and turn from
their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin
and will heal their land." He has promised if his people will repent of
sins and trust in Him with a humble heart, He will bless and heal our land.
Brave soldiers have lost their lives and many have scars of battle or
memories of time spent in service for our Country. Thousands are buried
in Arlington National Cemetery outside Washington, D. C., and other cemeteries
who gave all in time of battle.
Many have been killed in war recently who bravely
fought for freedom and justice. There will be others who will lose their lives or
suffer loss in battle while fighting for justice and freedom.
We have seen wars and battles since Bible days. Even in Old Testament days, the Lord
told his people to go in and possess the land.
He had given them the land, but it was up
to them to go in and drive out the enemy as He went before them. They fought for their
freedom and what had been given them by the Lord.
These Saints of old were in a battle
against the forces of evil, and many of these lost their lives but gained a far better country.
Those who know the Lord as their Savior today will also enter into the gates of heaven where
there will be no more wars or strife.
When we read Hebrews 11, we see the heroes of the faith and how they endured by seeing what
the Lord had prepared for those who believed in Him. We also remember these as
examples,
and know if we fight the good fight of faith, we also shall enter into all the promises
of the Lord and his eternal rest. We are in the greatest Army of all and have been given
mighty weapons of warfare and the whole armor of God.
In this day of terrorist threats, wars, and rumors of war, there is still hope in
God.
He promised never to leave us or forsake us. Blessed is a Nation whose God
is the Lord.
As we join in prayer for our Nation and all across this world, may we
remember the price paid for our freedom. Many gave all.....all gave some, and
there are those today still willing to serve their Country for the sake of freedom.
We know not what the future holds for our Country, but we do know who holds the future.
In Him, we can be secure as He will be with us always.
No matter what the future may
bring, God is there and will be with his people.
Our Lord gave his all that we might have everything.
He willingly laid down his
life that we might have a new life and take up our cross daily to follow him. We are
soldiers in the Army of our Lord and have a Commander-In-Chief who goes before
us every day as He leads us to victory.
In the good fight of faith, we have a promise
of a crown of life and a better country awaiting.
We must endure as a good soldier
of the cross.
Take time out to say a prayer for our Country, leaders,
lawmakers, also those in service both at home and in foreign lands.
May the hand
of the Lord be upon our soldiers to protect, guard and guide them in the days ahead.
We also pray for all people in foreign lands and that they might come to know our
"living God" who invites all to come to Him and be saved and set free.
This whole world needs the prayers of God's people that all might come to know and trust in Him.
He has called each one into active duty but many
have not heeded the call.
May we seek to share and also care for every soul who
has not yet answered the call of the Lord.
He will bless us for caring and hear
our every prayer.
Our Lord guards the course of the just and protects
the way of his faithful ones.
He is our shield who gives victory to those
who walk upright.
Blessings In Christ,
