"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run
and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
Isaiah 40: 31
Do you ever feel tired or weary at times in your
Christian walk or know those who need
strength from the Lord and a renewed joy and peace? There is one who knows and understands
and will teach his children how to wait upon Him.
Our prayers will not go unanswered when
we look to the Lord in faith and wait upon Him.
All Christians go through times when they do
not feel as much strength as they would like, but there is an answer.
One can stand still while waiting on the Lord, and have the promise of their strength being renewed.
God's delays are never his denials and his timing is always perfect.
All through God's Word, we see how He gave strength and power to those who relied on Him.
His strength is made perfect in our weakness and the power shown is of Him, not of us.
It is only by His Spirit that we are able to accomplish anything lasting for the Lord.
When we trust in his power and lean not to our own strength or understanding, He will
go before us and lead the way.
His yoke is always easy and his burden is light. As we pray
one for another, we can help bear the
burdens of others and so fulfill the law of Christ.
It is not the burdens of life that weigh people down, it is the way they handle them.
Many today feel faint but keep on going in life's race in their own strength instead of slowing
down, letting go, and letting God work things out.
His power is always there to carry us
and if we wait on him, He will renew us so we can run in this race and not be weary.
We are told we shall mount up with wings of eagles.
An eagle mounts up and flies above the storms of life, safely gliding on in the skies to the mountaintops. We can also soar above the problems and dwell with our Provider in the secret place of
the Most High God. Under the shadow of the Almighty is the safest place to be.
There is divine wisdom to be found in waiting.
A willing spirit will trust God in times of
indecision and uncertainty.
His grace will always be sufficient and his joy is always
there to give strength. Our salvation is the number one reason we have to rejoice as our names
are written down in the Lamb's Book of Life.
He also gives us benefits and blessings daily
for which we can give thanks.
If you are tired, you have One who is touched by the feelings of your infirmities and will carry
you through. God's children can look to Him as He is not only the 'Lifter of one's head',
but the Healer of Hearts.
Waiting upon the Lord is time well spent and also
reaps eternal benefits and rewards.
We can give thanks for the joy and strength which our
Lord gives as we look unto Him.
Blessings in Christ,
