                                 Walking Worthy

"That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all
pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and
increasing in the knowledge of God."
Col. 1: 10

The Lord has a plan for us to be successful in this life and also that we might have joy and happiness.  Everything begins with our walk or how we live the Christian life.  We are to press forward in faith and walk worthy or in right living as we always look toward the finished work of the cross.

We are also told to be fruitful in every good work. We all know good works do not save us, but we are to have good works and be fruitful in them.  This means as a vine produces fruit, we as Christians will also produce good works and be fruitful.  We are the branches of the Lord and as He cares for us, waters and prunes, we are able to have love, joy, peace and the attributes of Jesus.

We are also told that in our walk with Jesus, we are to increase in knowledge. As we study and hear God's Word, we are increasing in faith.   We are also learning as we hide his word in our heart.  God's Word helps us to overcome as we apply the principles of the oracles of God in righteousness.

Keep on walking for the Lord. The path is straight and we know along the wayside there are many schemes of the enemy.  If we follow Him, we do not have to worry as our journey will be safe and sure.  As we look to the cross, may we always see the power of the One who  saved us and will keep us safe. Jesus is the answer for the world today.

Blessings in Christ,

                Walking in The Lord

Walking in the light of the Lord
As we seek his holy face,
We press forward daily toward heaven's goal
As we run life's earthly race.

Many a soul has started out
          On this Gospel road,
     But stopped along the wayside,
'Neath the weight of a heavy load.

May we give our burdens to Jesus,
Who will carry them as we walk on,
Each day we are drawing closer,
To Heaven and our glorious new Home.
"Keep on walking for the Lord.
