When God Gave Me You

I wish my heart could beat for two,
and my lungs could breath for both me and you.

For forty-six years my dearest friend,
we've shared every joy, and hurt within.

We've griped about our husbands, our children
and our lives, we've shared our joy in our
Lord, and we've laughed so hard we cried.

Together we've buried loved ones,
we thought called home too soon,
those were difficult times for us,
but our faith pulled us through.

You were a shoulder for me to lean on,
and I your sounding board, you could yell
and scream at me, until it didn't hurt you
anymore.

We talked together every night,
for hours upon end, time passed by
so quickly, with you my dearest friend.

Some thought that we were silly,
and had nothing better to do,
they could never know the things
I learned from you.

Our visits have now ended,
as you struggle for your life,
for the simple joy of laughter,
leaves your body weak inside.

Some will never understand,nor could
they ever see; the joy you brought,
the strength you gave each time you
were with me....

Dedicated to my Aunt Janie,
"I miss you my friend"

The wonderful lady you see in the photo
above, is a wife, mother, sister,
and a wonderful friend and aunt to me.
She had a wonderful personality, quick to
laugh, and to do for others. She played the
piano beautifully. Diabetes has robbed her
of all these things, please support the diabetes
foundation, for it is a thief that robs one of
their sight, their independance, and slowly takes
their lives. Thank you, Shawnee Kellie

In Memory of Aunt Janie.
She departed this life on earth, November 7,2002.
