Counting the CostLord, where is my treasure? Is it really all in you? Are you really what I value most Or is it something new?

My heart is so deceitful How can I know for sure? I want to be so faithful O Lord, please make me pure

Don't let me be a fool, Lord For life's deceitful lie I want to know the truth now Not find it when I die

These trials purify me Perhaps that's why I'm here To learn to walk more closely I have to shed a tear

Reveal my heart's deep motives Of why I follow you Make it be the purest love Of which Your Name is due

My heart enthrones the treasure Your Word alone bestows There's growth learning to trust you Through trials, pains and woes

A servant is not worthy Until he counts the cost..... To live is Christ, to die is gain My life I count as lost
