Lost Talents, Not Faith!
The lady just sits quietly there in her chair,
Her body so disabled, life seems so unfair.
Waiting for someone else to bring her needs,
But thoughts of love, still in her heart feeds.

She once was young, had special talents you see;
Years took that away ..to disability she concedes.
The years have taken the all the talents one by one,
The joys of life, the fun of laughter now is done.

She scans the years with thoughts of days gone by,
Her husband, their togetherness, and love God did supply.
Her Bible she holds so steadily in her lap reading,
And with these special words God is so steadily feeding.

The years have taken toll, yes they have torn her apart;
But the love for the Lord, she holds deep in her heart.
The promise of her beloved husband again to see,
When life here ends and together they will be.

She had raised two daughters, and guided them right;
So when life is ended for her, she knows they're all right.
This woman also has seven grandchildren, who love her so dear,
And eight great grandchildren who through years did appear.

Her body remains broken, but spirit is still there
Her love for the Lord, oh, there's none to compare
She has lived a good life, and kept the Bible near
The Lord and her family, she's kept so very dear.

So, when the Lord promotes her to that Heaven above
She will leave this earth and her family, with love.
She knows it won't be long until that great final day
When all will be rejoined, and in Heaven to stay.

Yes, a heritage the woman will leave here on this land,
Proudly she will enter Heaven and hear the angel band.

Folks, this is my loving mother. She is 82 years young. In
fact was a 'leap year baby', so not that old at all. *S* Bless
her heart, she has been stricken with Rheumatoid Arthritis,
Osteoporosis, has had several strokes, has some heart problems
and a few other health problems, but her faith is strong!
The Lord isn't 'finished with her yet', so she still has work
to do here, and I am so glad. Tomorrow she could lead someone
to Christ, we simply do not know what the Lord has in mind or
what tomorrow He will bring!! Linda and I are both just so
happy we still have her with us, as do all the grandchildren
and great grandchildren!! She is a joy to be around..
And we all love her so very much!!
My mother entered Heaven August 31, 2005. She will be with my Dad now forever.
'Mouse-Over' for years.
