October 17, 1991 Section A, Page 6 Services Held For Aaron Brawner Funeral services for Aaron Brawner, age 45, of Lafayette were conducted Wednesday, October 16, 1991, 11 am at the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette by Elder Charles Patterson. His nephews served as pallbearers. Interment was in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park. Mr. Brawner passed away Monday, October 14, 1991, at the Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, KY after a lengthy illness. A native of Macon County, the son of Mrs. Mary Neal Meador Brawner of Lafayette and the late John Clemon Brawner. He was a retired employee with the Texas Boot Company in Hartsville and a member of the Meadorville Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors besides his mother include sisters, Mrs. Jean Tracy, Mrs. Maggie Boyd, both of Bowling Green, KY; Mrs. Jo Nelle Wilburn, Greenbrier,; Mrs. Peggy Halliburton, Finly, Indiana, Mrs. Mary D. Cothron, Mrs. Shirley Rush, Mrs. Judy Boyd , Mrs. Pam Henry, all of Lafayette; brothers, John Clemon Brawner, Jr., Doyle Brawner, Jackie Brawner, all of Lafayette, and Randall Brawner, Hartsville. Section C, Page 7 March 9, 1995 Grover L. Brawner Grover Leslie Brawner, age 54, of Hartsville, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 1995 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Macon County, the son of the late Charlie Clifton and Annie Katherin Wright Brawner. He was a member of Beech Bottom Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services for Grover Leslie Brawner were held Saturday, March 4, 1 p. m. in the chapel of Alexander Macon County Funeral Home in Lafayette conducted by Bro. Oliver Day. Interment was in the Wright Family Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Brawner, Audie Gregory, Jr., Gary Brawner, Joey Russell, Terry Brawner, and Hank Brawner. He is survived by three brothers, William Brawner, Ralph Brawner, Carl Brawner; two sisters, Elsie Kemp and Shirley Gregory, all of Lafayette. Wright, Mai Brawner 91, of Lafayette, Tn passed away Sunday afternoon 11 April 1999 at Royal Care of Westmoreland, in Sumner County, Tn. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon, 13 April 1999 at 2:00 pm from the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in LaFayette by Elder Don Curtis and Elder Ricky Wilson. Pallbearers were: Justin West, Daniel Tucker, Steve Eller, William Beasley, Kenny Brawner. Interment was in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. A native of Macon County, the daughter of the late Charlie Franklin and Maggie Uhles Brawner. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mrs. Iantha West and sisters, Mrs. Vadie Eller, Mrs. Pervie Ford, brothers, John Clemons, Arnett, Orphie, Willie, and Charlie Brawner. She was a member of the LaFayette Missionary Baptist Church and a sales clerk for the former Prissy Hen Dress Shop in LaFayette. Survivors include sister, Mrs. Evelyn Beasley, Bethpage; granddaughter, Myglia Tucker, Hermitage; grandsons, Rickey West, Mt. Juliet, Barry West, Nashville; gr. granddaughter, Kayla West, Mt. Juliet; gr. grandsons, Justin West and Corey West both of Mt. Juliet, Daniel West of Hermitage, and Jesse West, Nashville; a host of nieces and nephews. April 12, 1990 Section C, Page 4 Services Held For Louil Simpson Brawner Funeral services for Louil Simpson Brawner, age 85, of the Union Camp Road Community were conducted Saturday, April 7, 1990, 2 pm at the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette by Elder Douglas Curtis. His grandsons served as pallbearers. Interment was in the Nelson McDonald Cemetery. Mr. Brawner passed away Thursday, April 5, 1990. at the Macon County General Hospital after a brief illness. A native of Macon County, the son of the late Henry and Alice Gregory Brawner. He was married to the former Bonnie Goad in 1932 who survives. He was a retired farmer. Survivors besides his wife include four daughters, Mrs. Cleopas Sloan, Lafayette, Mrs. Melvin Dean Dilk and Mrs. Evelyn Bandy, both of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mrs. Rita Alcorta, Hendersonville; four sons, Clavis Gene Brawner, Gallatin, Odean Brawner, Hartsville, Dewey Eldred Brawner, Westmoreland, Dwight David Brawner, Lafayette; four sisters, Mrs. Niel Gann, Mrs. Ada Phillips, both of Franklin, KY, Mrs. Nona Patterson and Mrs. Ida Patterson, both of Lafayette; one brother Lewis Brawner, Franklin, KY; fourteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. |

Macon County Times May 23, 1991 Section A, Page 10 Services Held For Ocie Brawner Funeral services for Mrs. Ocie Carter Brawner, age 72, of the Red Hill Community were conducted Friday, May 17, 1991, 2 pm at the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette by Elder William Johnson. Pallbearers were Roger Brawner, J. C. Driver, Ricky Carter, Robbie Calvert, Rocky Brawner, Perry Brawner. Interment was in the Red Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Brawner passed away suddenly Wednesday, May 15, 1991 at her residence of an apparent heart attack. A native of Macon County, the daughter of the late John and Tulia King Carter. She was married to Jessie Willard Brawner July 25, 1939. He died March 14, 1991. She was a homemaker and a member of the Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Lewis (Betty) Driver, Lafayette; sister, Mrs. Ruby Jent, Plant City, Florida; brothers, Everette Carter, Woodburn, KY; Lewis Carter, Valparaiso, Indiana; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Section A, Page 11 October 5, 1989 Services Held for Ozie Brawner Mrs. Ozie Ruline Brawner, age 61, of Lafayette, Tn., passed away Tuesday, Sept 26th., 1989 at the Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette. She was a native of Macon County, the daughter of the late Jessie Forrest and Minnie Helen Freeman Carver. Her husband, Osbie Brawner, preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 28th., 1989 at 2 p. m. in the chapel of Alexander Macon County Funeral Home in Lafayette, by Brother James Lawson. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Olie Brawner, Jimmy Brawner, Jessie Brawner, Eddie Sullivan, Steve Sullivan, and Wayne Hix. She was a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Janice Hodge of Lafayette, Tn., oe sister, Elsie Sullivan; and one brother, Willard Carver both of Westmoreland, Tn., two grandchildren, Felicia and Craig Hodge. Mr. Brawner passed away Thursday, March 14, 1991 at the Macon County General Hospital. A native of Macon County, the son of the late Herbert Oakley and Ella Mae Bray Brawner. He was married to the former Ocie Carter, July 25, 1939, who survives. He was a farmer and a member of the Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors besides his wife include one daughter, Mrs. Lewis (Betty) Driver; sister, Mrs. Fred (Olene) Shockley; brother, Fred Brawner, all of Lafayette, deceased brother, Gethroe Brawner; three grandchildren; one great grandchild.
