There is a miracle in the fact that the birth of a baby in a stable over 2000 years ago has changed the calendars of the world. Each time we write a date we testify to the importance of the event from which that date is reckoned. |
|
Who is this person to whom the civilized world gives daily recognition? He
was an humble person of an obscure town in a small province of the Roman
Empire. His public life was short. He wrote no book, overthrew
no government, left no great band of highly influential followers. In
fact, in three short years, he made of Himself a reputation of
"Everywhere He went He was doing good". He healed the sick,
raised the dead, made blinded eyes to see, deaf ears to hear, He healed
the sick and oppressed and in general just loving and caring for people.
|
| What was His reward or recognition for all this voluntary goodness on His part? He was beaten, tortured and put to death as a criminal. His followers, fearful for their lives, fled. |
| But Jesus did something to time. Everyone is born in a
certain time over which we have no control. But when eternity came
to earth and established His birth in Bethlehem, time was split in
two. From that moment on, all the periods of history have been
divided into the period before Christ (B. C.) and the period after Christ anno
Domini (A. D.) "in the year of our Lord."

The Divine Christ has left His signature on the ages of time. Here,
20 centuries after He hung upon that cruel cross, His birth is accepted by
Christian and non-Christian alike as the point from which all centuries
are dated. Just think about it, every morning all the newspapers in
the world adjust their dates to His cradle. All the dates on our
checks, letters, all government
records, all legal documents, all literature are unconsciously a testimony
to the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

| Herod could not kill Him, Satan could not seduce Him, death could not
destroy Him, the grave could not hold Him. All others have failed in
some way, but not JESUS, this perfect ONE is altogether lovely!
|
| The fact that Jesus came is written in history, it is written on our calendars, it is written in the Bible. "The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us." ( John 1:14) |
|
He is the First and Last, the Beginning and the End!
He always was, He always is, and He always will be...
He was bruised and brought healing!
The world can't understand him, and The leaders can't ignore Him.
Herod couldn't kill Him,
The
Pharisees couldn't confuse Him, and
Hitler couldn't silence Him, He can't be explained away!
He is light, love, longevity, and Lord. His will is unchanging, and His mind is on me.
He is my Redeemer, He is my Savior,
I serve Him because His bond is love, His burden is light, and His goal for me is abundant life.
I follow Him because He is the wisdom of the wise, The Ancient of Days,
the Ruler of rulers, the Overseer of the overcomers, and The Sovereign Lord of all that was and is and is to come.
And if that seems impressive to you, try this for size. He will never leave me, Never forsake me, Never mislead me, Never forget me, Never overlook me, and Never cancel my appointment in His appointment book!
When I fall, He lifts me up!
When I fail, He forgives!
When I face loss, He provides for me!
Every
time, and in every way. the father of this world. So, if you're wondering why
I feel so secure, understand this...
God is in control, I am on His side, and That means all is well with my soul. Everyday is a blessing for GOD Is!

Christ and His People
He became poor that we might become rich. (James 2:5) He was born that we might be born again. (I John 1:14) He became a servant that we might become sons (Gal.4:6,7) He had no home that we might have a home in heaven. (Matt 8:25) He was bound that we might go free. (John 8:32-36) He was made sin that we might be made righteous. (2 Cor 5:21) He died that we might live. (John 5:24.25)

| For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to
God.
(Rom 14:11 KJV)
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Mat 11:28-30
KJV)
