God blessed me, Peggy, (Little Lorene), a 7 year old little orphan girl that had been taken away from my mom in 1941 by circumstances beyond the control of my birth mother, with the best set of godly parents that He possibly could pick out for me.

They raised me up in the admonition of the Lord, taking me to church every Sunday of my life unless sickness intervened.  They gave me music lessons, seen that I received a good education, that included a good measure of mom's good "ole hickory tea", given generously when needed.

They nursed me when I was sick, and I was well protected from the evils of the world by my mom's keen eyes that watched every move I made (thank God!)  Oh, I know I gave her a few worries about wanting to try my wings and fly, but I was so very thankful for her watchful care over me till I did grow up!

I remember the Christmas's I used to enjoy with all the toys around the Christmas Tree, and a big delicious Christmas dinner!  I remember we used to go grocery shopping every Friday, (dad's payday!) and when we got home mom would fix a delicious meal of her good home-fried chicken and biscuits and gravy - yum-yum was that ever so good!

I think so many times, where in the world would I have been today if God had not sent me to these fine people to help me when I needed them.

Thank  You  Mom  and  Dad,

for your constant care and concern for me, and for the countless ways you contributed to me,  that made me the person that I am today!    And a special

Thank You Heavenly Father

for MY LIFE as You have seen fit to give it to me, with ALL its ups and downs, deep pitfalls, obstacles, hurdle jumps, curves in the road, and thank YOU SINCERELY for sending me these blessed people to be my parents when I didn't have anyone to watch over me!  You always know what is best for me, even if sometimes I don't agree with how things are going, and grumble and complain about what  life is dishing out to me.  That is why I can say, "Father, not MY WILL  but YOURS be done in my life, because YOU always GIVE ME what is BEST FOR ME!

I thank YOU, heavenly Father,  so much for MY LIFE!

I thank YOU, heavenly Father, so much for the beautiful sunshine,   for the raindrops, for the lovely winter snows, the spring's blossoms, summer's refreshing sunshine, and the fall's multi-colored foliage.

I serve such a great God!  One who created the whole universe, created man in his own image,  yet takes notice of a small someone like me -  Thank You my Heavenly Father!
