A teen-age girl walked aimlessly, too troubled for her years.

 She was headed down the wrong road, misguided by her peers.

She'd found her way to God once, and she'd done it by herself.

but she stopped now and looked at a church. This time she needed help.

Then slowly she walked up the steps, and through the heavy door,

of the structure, old and stately, with marble on the floor.

Just inside she stood and tried, to find a friendly face.

She thought, I'm glad, I found the nerve to walk into this place.

I'm looking for some answers. I know I'll find them here.

'Cause after all, this is God's house, so I have nothing to fear.

They'll help me solve my problems, 'cause Jesus lives in them.

I think, this is the perfect place, to find my way to Him.

A group of women, stood and talked. One turned, and looked her way.

The girl thought, she looks kind of nice. She'll probably help me pray.

Then the others turned to look.  They saw how she was dressed.

She'd thought it wouldn't matter, 'cause she had worn her best.

The women finally talked to her, saying, "you're not welcome here.

We think you look like you use drugs." The girl fought back her tears.

She said, I thought this was God's house, as she ran out in the night.

One woman said, good riddance.  The gir's tears blurred her sight.

She thought, it's like my brother said, you won't be welcome there.

I tried myself, three years ago, but they don't really care.

The women sat down, in their pews, in themselves, unjustly pleased.

The girl's old friends called out to her, the ones she's tried to leave.

Who case the first stone at God's little girl?

Who asked her to leave, sent her back to the world?

Who disobeyed God? Who turned her away?

What will you say to Jesus, if He asks you someday?
