Who is Jesus
Jesus Is Our Savior.......
Jesus said, "The Son of Man came to seek and
save what was lost" (Luke 19:10).
Jesus Is Our Healer.......
Jesus was visiting in the home of Peter and found Peter's
mother-in-law was sick with a fever. He touched her hand and she
was healed. The news of this apparently spread and many needy
people were brought to Jesus. He drove out the [demon] spirits
with a word and healed the all sick. (Matthew 8:16)
Jesus Is Our Baptizer.......
While it was John the Baptist who predicted that Jesus would
baptize His people "with the Holy Spirit and with fire" (Luke 3:16),
this phase of His ministry did not begin until after His
resurrection and ascension. On the Day of Pentecost Peter
explained, "Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from
the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you
now see and hear" (Acts 2:33).
Jesus Is Our returning King.......
The promise of Jesus, "I will come back" (John 14:3), stands
in bold relief to the growing number of scoffers who have cried
from the first century until now, "Where is this 'coming' He
promised?" (2Peter 3:4) But we believe His Word, and we are
thrilled with the manner in which it will occur as Paul has
detailed in I Thessalonians 4:13-18.
