"If That Isn't Love"
He left the splendor of Heaven
Knowing His destiny
Was the lonely hill of Golgotha
There to lay down His life for me
If that isn't love
The ocean is dry
There's no stars in the sky
And the eagle can't fly
If that isn't love
Then Heaven's a myth
There's no feeling like this
If that isn't love
Even in death He remembered
The theif hanging by His side
He spoke with a love and compassion
Then He took him to Paradise
If that isn't love
The ocean is dry
There's no stars in the sky
And the eagle can't fly
If that isn't love
Then Heaven's a myth
There's no feeling like this
If that isn't love
There's no feeling like this
If that isn't love.
I think that about sums it up.
This song was written by Dottie Rambo and the first time I ever heard it, it was done by Vern Jackson. Since then I have heard it done by many different atrists but it always says the same thing. If that isn't love then I don't know what is.
I am so fortunate to know this kind of love. It isn't the "Valentine's Day"
romantic
love. It isn't the comic "
I love you, man
" type of love. It is that pure, wonderful, unconditional love that only a loving parent can have for their child.
Scriptures are taken from the King James Version of the Bible.
My prayer for every one this Valentine's Day is that you too find this wonderful love. There is nothing like it in this world.
