Reading the Bible
Congratulations! How wonderful that you're willing to learn for
yourself! I agree that John and Romans are good places to start
and I also think a good devotional is helpful. You need to have
an overall sense of the Bible though and I'd like to share what
I've learned.
The Old and New Testaments support and confirm each other. I
think of it like the ingredients for bread - you must have the dry
and the wet ingredients mixed together to make the whole loaf.
Don't expect the Bible to be in chronological order except in a
very loose way. However, something you can easily understand is
that the Old Testament is devoted to preparing the world for Jesus
- the Gospel of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are the actual time
of Jesus here on earth (the climax) - and the New Testament is the
time after Jesus until now. So the picture you can see of the
Bible in your mind is much like this - /\.
Jesus tells us He is the beginning and the end, but He is also
the pinnacle of all history.
Most of all, read the Bible thinking of it as God's personal,
intimate letter to you. When you open God's Word, you are
privileged to be holding His truth, His Will, His purpose, His
intent for your life. In every single Book, chapter and verse, God
has poured out His glory, His love, his annointing with the
intention of your ultimate blessing, freedom in truth, wisdom and
victory.
Let yourself fall in love with God's Word just as a baby falls
in love with the site of its mother's or father's face or the
sound of their voice. As Jesus taught us, let yourself be the
little child God wants you to be; seeing in His Word all the
wonder and beauty He would want you to see.
God bless you in your reading. Like so many of us, as you read,
you will find yourself being blessed with such riches of Wisdom
and understanding, you can't wait to read the next verse! As I
like to say -
Practice the Rapture! Get "caught up" in the Word!

The Spirit of Division
Learn to
recognize
and
avoid
not only PEOPLE but events and circumstances which cause
division
.
Romans 16:17
Contrasting DIvision and Vision.
Proverbs 29:18
Where there is NO Vision, the People perish.
DIvision becomes No Vision.
As in James 1:6-8, we must guard against being "double-minded".
When we start looking at more than God's "Vision" - His Word - we
can get caught up in the ways of the world instead of the ways of
the Word.
Amos 3:3 Can two walk together unless they be agreed
Can we walk with God if we are not in agreement with HIM
Taken from a teaching by Jerry Savelle on KCM 5/98
Turn Adversity around!
From Phillipians I - receiving the supply of the Spirit!
Expectation
Concentrate on the Answer to your problems - not the problem.
Jesus is always the answer.
The Word has already been spoken - what God is going to do.
Don’t concentrate on the circumstances.
So get in the Word - read your Bible - find out what God
expects.
Conversation
Watch your Words! Say only that which you have learned from the
Word. Don’t get into agreement with the adversity by complaining
about the circumstances. Speak the Answer!
Learn the vocabulary of silence. Be eloquent in the stillness
of the spirit.
Use self control to say only the Word.
Receive the supply of the Spirit by Speaking the Word of God.
Use Control and conviction.
Speak the end result of the circumstance according to the Word
- God’s will!
Listen to yourself!
Participation!
Phillipians I:27
Stand Fast - Be Established in the Gospel - the Good News that
our Burdens are Removed and our Yokes are destroyed because of the
annointing! Isaiah 10:27
Within your inner spirit - which is protected by God’s armour
(Eph. 6:10-18) - don’t become a part of strife - do not allow
yourself to be offended - be forgiving - which is not a weak
response to strife, but a response of Godly Power!
Be United in harmony with God and with God indwelt people.
Walk in Love. God’s annointed love - agape - the love beyond
human understanding. That is where the power is.

When those of the world speak of evolution, you can speak about
the "evolution" of the Body of Jesus Christ. (4/8/98)

U
If ye continue in the Faith, grounded and settled, and
be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye
have heard and which was preached to every creature
which is under heaven.... God would make known what is
the riches of the
glory
of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is
Christ in you
, the hope of glory
Colossians 1:23...27
|
We have a hope of being able to regain the Glory.
To the world, that may not seem like a desirable goal, but to
those who are "born again", who have made Jesus their savior and
Lord, the Glory of God is the one substance which we desire above
anything on earth. That glory is the very manifestation of God's
presence in our lives.
U
...When they lifted their voice with the trumpets and
cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord,
saying "For He is good; for His Mercy endureth for
ever"; that then the house was filled with a cloud, even
the house of the Lord; so that the priests could not
stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the
Glory of the Lord
had filled the house of God.
II Chronicles 5:13-14
|
We are told in Hebrews 11:1 that Faith is the substance of
things HOPED for, therefore, when we have Faith that we will
regain the Glory, we find the hope of that attaining embodied
within Christ who is dwelling inside us.
Remember, the Word, "Christ", is the Greek translation of the
Hebrew Word, "Messiah". We are told of the Messiah in Isaiah 10:27
that the burden of Satan would be taken away and the yoke of Satan
destroyed because of the Annointing.
We who belong to Jesus are "Annointed" to regain the Glory.
Because we accept Jesus' blood as the sacrifice for our sins, and
because we believe that Jesus is the very Word of God and because
we believe that the NAME of Jesus is above everything else that is
named, we have the hope of the fullness of God's Glory within us.
Guard your spirit well. Seek to obey God in all you do by
loving one another and Loving God above all.
U
We pray for you...that ye might be filled with the
knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual
understanding; that ye might walk worthy of the Lord
unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work,
and increasing in the knowledge of God.
Colossians 1:9-10

You may have noticed that I have not been able to continue this
page for the past three days. However, I have not been lazy. Each
time I attempted to write in "Bible Margins" I found my writing
expanding into an essay. The Holy Spirit often works in that
manner. When you belong to Jesus, you have made your abilities and
time available for His Use and that is how
A Moment of Faith
came to be written just today.
Also, after much resistance, I finally gave in and published my
own memoirs in
God's New Creation - Me!
because I feel we all have our own testimonies of how we came
to know Jesus and what Jesus has done in our lives.
As always, I will continue adding here as before with each new
addition inserted at the beginning of this page and indication of
its update on my Home page, The Circuit Rider. I will try to
remember to date my additions each day.
I hope you will continue visiting this site but be prepared for
new Essays to appear in response to my efforts.
