Prayer on Colossians 1
Merrellee Moore – August 13, 2000
9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it,
do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled
with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual
understanding;
10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto
all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in
the
knowledge of God;
11Strengthened with all might, according to his
glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
Father, we continually pray to you for those we love. We
want so much for all of our loved ones to be completely filled with the
knowledge of Your Will. We understand your Will to be what You have
caused to be written in Your Word, both the Old Testament and the New
Testament. Father, we ask that our loved ones receive this knowledge
with all the wisdom and spiritual understanding they need to use this
knowledge properly, to be a blessing to You, Father and to all people
of
your earth.
Father, we ask that our loved ones learn to live and to speak and to
act in a manner pleasing to You. We ask that they are a blessing in all
they do which is good in your eyes, that whatever they do produces good
and abundant blessings for all. Father, we can ask no more precious
blessing than that their knowledge of you is multiplied and magnified.
In these blessings, Father we know that according to Your Word, our
loved ones will be strengthened with all might, according to Your
glorious power. We praise and we thank You, Father, that they will have
all the patience and endurance, perseverance and that they are not
easily offended or made angry. In all these blessings and strengths
Father, we know our loved ones will be joyful and we praise You so much
for this joy!
