I sit here alone at Midnight,
Though in pain again I may be
I am trying to keep my focus Lord,
On thee instead of me.

I ask myself the question
As the Psalmist did long ago
Soul why are you disquieted within me,
And why do you grumble so?

As that deer my heart pants for waters,
I'm tired of feasting on my tears.
Soul take your self to the river
And cast in all your fears.

For though you think you're lonely
In the hour of the darkest night
Through praise your spirit can go flying
As your praise begins to take flight

Yes I sit here alone at midnight,
but his angels watch over me
So I whisper out a song to him,
and give him my hearts melody.

For I know when I am feeling abandoned
and the hour is dark and deep
His presence is ever with me,
comforting and giving peace.

So with everything that is in me Lord,
deep calls to Deep
Let your waters pour over me
as I lay at your feet.
Revive me, stand beside me,
breathe your spirit in me
with everything that's in me
deep calls to Deep
