I love to cook!
I love everything about cooking... planning meals, shopping, preparing, eating...
Okay, I don't like everything about it because I hate cleaning up the kitchen.
Give me a vacuum any time but I do not *do* dishes!



I will be putting recipes here as well as our weekly menu plan and a grocery checklist for those who hate meal planning!

Ever feel like all you hear all day is "what's to eat?"
The simple solution is a menu plan!
~ Do you find yourself wondering what to make for dinner at 5:00PM?
~ How often do you resort to "junk" convenience food or take out?
~ Do you make frequent trips to the grocery store for a last minute item that you need?

Take a few minutes each week to sit down and plan all your meals for the week, including snacks. Use this list to make your grocery list.
I like to do this on Tuesday and shop on Wednesday.
Does this sound like more effort than you can handle? Call on the kids! Ask the kids, and hubby what they're favorite meals are and keep going until you have a week's worth!
Next put everyone to bed, make yourself a cup of tea and make out your grocery list.



This week's menu plan

My husband and I eat fruit until noon and so the breakfasts listed here are what the children eat. I do not eat the snacks,either. We have a mid-morning snack as well but it is always fruit so I have not made a note of it here.

Wednesday
BR~ Oatmeal and fruit
LN~ Veggie Wraps, carrot and celery sticks and tortilla chips
SN~ graham crackers and an apple
DN~ Potatoe Lover's Salad this is not your typical all egg and potatoe salad. This is a high-water content main course that is truly delicious!
Thursday
BR~ Peanut Butter Banana Smoothies and toast,if desired
LN~ Grilled Cauliflower Sandwiches don't knock it, try it... you will be very surprised at how good it tastes!
SN~ Banana-rama Pops
DN~ Pasta salad, garlic bread, salad
Friday
BR~ Banana Nut Oatmeal
LN~ Picnic at the park~ PB and J sandwiches, veggies and dip, cookies
SN~ Trail mix
DN~ Homemade Pizza and salad

BR~ Whole wheat Pancakes
LN~ PB and Banana Smoothies
SN~PB Balls
DN~ Hummus, Pita Bread and veggies

BR~ oatmeal and fruit

BR~ granola, yogurt and fruit parfaits
LN~ PB and J Sandwiches, apples

LN~ Split-pea soup
