The Mender Of Broken
Hearts

Is your heart broken?
Has it ever been?
If it isn't, and if it never has been, just remember,
if you live long enough it will be broken.
We just cannot live in this world putting our faith
in other people, no matter who it is.
Broken Hearts are strewn all along the highways and
by-ways of life. When your heart is broken,
it is usually broken because, we loved someone and they hurt us
in such a way that it could happen, only because
we loved them. There are hearts broken when the
one's they loved betrays them. Hearts are
broken when children betray their parents,
or parents betray their children.
Hearts are broken when a loved one dies, and leaves
those whom they loved to continue on after them.
Hearts are broken when friends betray one another.
Most of all, sin breaks the heart of God.

Broken Hearts litter the earth.
Psalm 51:17
My sacrifice [ the sacrifice acceptable } to God
Is a broken and contrite heart,
{ broken down with sorrow for sin and humbly and thoroughly penitent }
such, O' God, you will not despise.

I know the heart of Jesus was broken on the Cross
for our sin.
But he loved me so much, he died for you and me,
yes that is right, our sin broke our Lord's heart.
But because of his great love for you and me,
Jesus, with his nail scared hands, lifted the
gates death and hell right off their rusty hinges,
and flung them into the dark abyss of eternity,
and went wading through the ashes of bygone millenniums
of broken dreams, broken lives, and broken hearts.
Jesus went on the most important rescue mission
that has ever been launched in the history of mankind.
The mission was to retrieve us from the clutches
of the devil. This mission could only be done by him.
He did not have to do it, but, he knew that unless he did,
we would be forever lost, and flung into
the flames of hell. O' how he loves us!

Psalm 147:3-5
He heals the broken hearted, and binds up their wounds.
{ Curing their pains and sorrows. }
He determines and counts the number of stars,
he calls them by their names.
Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised.
His understanding is inexhaustible and boundless.

The blood of Jesus poured out for us is like
the balm of Gilead for the brokenhearted.
Jesus is strong enough to defeat devils, yet gentle enough
to reach out to us in our sorrows, laying his nail pierced
hand upon us to heal our broken hearts.
So when we have come to the
end of "Brokenhearted Boulevard",
and come to "Wits End Corner", we need to remember
that Jesus was there before you and I were.
All because God so loved us, that he gave
his only son to die for us.
Then we can trod on "Life's Lane"
and "Victory Boulevard", because, He
is our victory.
He is the way and the only way.
Some of us have been carrying around so much
old baggage of emotional trauma,
that has wrapped itself around us so tightly that
we cannot even look up. But I have good news.
Jesus is right there with you, He reaching out, to take all of
that emotional pain and peel it away from you,
just like you would peel an orange.
He is peeling it off of you, and reaching into
your heart and healing it even now!
Thank you, Jesus!

Psalm 34:19
Many are afflictions of the righteous,
but the Lord delivereth them out of them all!

Isaiah 61:1-2
The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord
has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel
of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted:
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the
{ physical and spiritual captives }
captives, and the opening of the prison,
and of the eyes to those who are bound.
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
{ The year of His favor }
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn.

John 4:10
Jesus answered her,
{ The Samaritan Woman }
"If you had only known, and had recognized God's
gift, and who this is that is saying to you,
Give Me a drink, you would have asked Him,
{instead} and He would have given you living water."

One day, in the twinkling of an eye, gravity will forever
lose its hold on every born again Child of God!
Then we will leave this old world. For this world is not
our home. We are just temporary residents here,
and we will take a supernatural journey.

1st Cor. 15:51-52
Take Notice!
I tell you a mystery.
{ A secret truth, an event decreed by the hidden purpose of God.}
we shall not all fall asleep, { In Death }
but we shall all be changed. { Transformed }
In a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, at the
{ Sound of the } last trumpet call.
For a trumpet will sound, and the dead {In Christ} will be raised imperishable,
{ Free and Immune from Decay }
and we shall be changed. { Transformed }

Listen
For He is coming soon!
And in the meantime remember, Jesus not only wants to
heal us now, He wants to set us free from all those
sins that so easily wrap themselves around us,
those things that so easily beset us.
He wants us to get our eyes upon Him, and as we gaze
upon our Lord, He will lead us on, and renew our hearts,
and fill us with His joy in this life.
That joy, that only He can give,
like David of old I say,
"Lord renew within me each day, the joy of my salvation."
Yes, Jesus is,
"The Mender Of Broken Hearts! "
