Worry

If I were to be asked today, what is worry, I would say that it is an assault against the mind of man and woman, by the enemy. The devil will take advantage of unexpected circumstances, to throw fiery darts of doubt into our minds to bring us down, and try to make things look hopeless.

It is so important to know the word of God, and to get it into our hearts, for it by the word of God that we can defeat the enemy and quench those worry darts with the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God.

Psalm 114:1-2

Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war: My goodness,

and my fortress; My high tower, and my deliverer; My shield, and in him I will trust.

In everyone's walk with the Lord, there will be times that we are frequently confronted with circumstances which are beyond our means of control. But with the help of the Lord and his word, and the working of the Holy Spirit of God, he will remind us that God is for us, so who can be against us? Praise God!

Then we can begin to trust in, and rely on the Almighty God, who began a great work in us and he will finish it. He will continue to perform it until that glorious day that Jesus returns.

When we are worried, we can, and should, tell God everything. He knows our hearts better than we do ourselves, and he wants us to always be honest with him. This is the antidote for worry.

Philippians 4: 6-7

Amplified Version

Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything

{ Definite Request}, with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God's peace {shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ. And so fearing nothing from God, and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort it is, that peace} which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus

Let me encourage you today, if you have a financial need, Jesus has the provision. If you need help, He has the power to deliver you. If you need encouragement, He has the words you need here.

Psalm 31: 24

Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.

When we are at the bottom, we are stewing and the devil is throwing darts of anxiety and worry at our minds, all of a sudden we hear a sweet, still voice say " I am here, and everything is going to be all right. I am for you, and I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread."

John 10: 27

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

Yes my dear brothers and sisters, it is not wrong to be in a situation where you feel overwhelmed, but, we do have to choose to stand on God's word instead of continuing to worry. He wants to bring us all of the way through victory. Besides we have a Greater one living on the inside of us, and it is He that gives us the ability to do what and I feel cannot be done!

We have an anchor that holds in the midst of the storm, and His name is Jesus. Amen and Amen.
