"He
saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou
me?
Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest
thou me?
And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest
that I love thee.
Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep." ~John 21:17~
Once
the Lord had risen
He had to assure that His gospel was spread
That all had the opportunity and choice
for the reason He was dead.
Peter was given the question
"Do you love me?" he was asked
For this he was given the duty
the gift for which he was tasked.
Our
Lord has given a promise
Most observe but once a year
We must carry the torchlight
to assure our Lord is near.
Others
will eradicate His worldly presence
by removing holy places from earth
They do not know that his memory
resides in His servants "soul" worth.
When Christ told us to
"Feed my sheep,"
He didn't mean earthly meals
but the soul within to keep.
Don't
fear because there are wars
Christ told us of these things to pass
They're part of His holy reunion
His return will be mighty at last.
For
when He returns there will be
No doubt who will set by God's side
Those with names in the Good Book
will have no need to hide.
So
beloved beware of the evil
That lurks in the hearts of deceived
Assure that Jesus blessing
Is truly what you receive.
