Halloween
Halloween is here once again,
O what fun it will be.
We’ll all dress up and have some fun,
Just you all wait and see.
What do you think you want to be?
A bunny or a black cat?
Maybe a wizard or a clown,
And wear and funny hat!
When it’s dark we head out the door,
A big sack in our hand.
We go with a friend from house to house,
Trick or treating is grand.
We keep going, we won’t stop yet,
This is way too much fun.
Our bags are getting very full,
We hope to get a ton.
We’re slowing down; we head for home,
So tired and so cold.
Just two more blocks and then we’re there,
We’re trying to be bold.
My Mom is standing by the door,
Waiting with a smile.
She says, “Come in and sit by the fire,
Then we’ll count your pile”.
My Mom then asks me if I want,
To eat a yummy treat.
But when she looks I’m fast asleep,
I’m just too tired to eat.
