I Know That My Redeemer Lives.

RECONCILED TO GOD

Perhaps God's most beautiful gift to the believer

is His provision for forgiveness and reconciliation.

It cost Him everything_

The life and death of His Son.

It costs us so little by comparison - only that

we be willing to confess

each wrong thought or deed or attitude and turn

back to Him. Yet so often we let sins fester

unconfessed beneath the surface of our lives.

One vital ingredient in our relationship with

Jesus is our willingness to be honest with Him.

He found it easy to be friends with harlots and

tax collectors because they were honest with

Him about their sinfulness. And He asks the

same honesty of us.

Christians whose lives are transparent

before the Father see themselves as sinners.

They understand grace and praise God for it.

Because they know their forgiveness was not

bought cheaply they take it very seriously.
