One morning early in spring
I hung out my bluebird house,
hoping it would bring
a pair of bluebirds,
to show that it was spring.

The house is on a pole
with roses all around.
I thought, “Dear Lord,
send the bluebirds,
the roses will make a perfect crown.”

The bluebirds came - a perfect pair.
I know God was listening,
He heard my silent prayer.
He sent the bluebirds to let me know,
He, is ever near me, wherever I may go.
