Why do we have feelings of Inferiority? Because the world is more concerned with what a person looks like, how intelligent we are, or how much money we have. These are Satan's lies and we should not believe them. We must change our way of thinking. There is nothing wrong with physical attractiveness, intelligence, and wealth but it is what is in our hearts that is actually more important. We must see ourselves as God sees us. God loves us no matter what. Some ways of overcoming inferiority are:
1) Recognize that you are not alone. Other people have the same problems that you have.
2) Make genuine friends. You don't have to be beautiful, intelligent or rich in order to make friends. The best way to make a good friend is to be a good friend.
3) Learn to do something well. One way to build proper self-esteem is to learn to do something well. Find something you like to do and then work at it. Don't waste time feeling sorry for yourself but make the most out of what you have.
4) Face your problems honestly. Make a list of everything you don't like about yourself and check the ones that you can do something about. Ask a person you trust to help you. The problems that are left - nobody is perfect so just accept them.

Our happiness quite often depends on our attitude. Our attitude toward ourselves is our "self esteem". We must remember that we were created by God - Mark 10:6 tells us "But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
We were created in His image - Genesis 1:27 says "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them."
We were created to glorify God - Look at Isaiah 43:7 - "Even every one that is called by My name: for I have created him for My glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him."
We were given certain characteristics and abilities by God -
In 1 Corinthians 4:7 it tells us "For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?
Proverbs 17:5 says, "Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth (insults) his Maker: and he that is glad at calamities (someone elses trouble) shall not be unpunished."
We are not to dispise ourselves because God made us in His image.
To gain a proper self image we must:
1) Accept that we are a special person made my Him - Psalm 139:14 - "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."
2) Start a personal relationship with God who is our Creator. Do not compare ourselves with others - 2 Corinthians 10:12 - "For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;"
Don't let our physical flaws let us down. No one has a perfect body. Learn to overcome our flaws.
Remember that God is not finished with us yet. He wants to make us what He wants us to be - Romans 8:29 - "For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the impage of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren Philippians 1:6 - "Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ;"
Don't let bitterness come into our lives. God wants to do many things in our life, but He requires our cooporation. He never forces us to do anything. We must make the chose to let Him work in our lives. Bitterness and resentment keeps Him from doing His work in us.
Be thankful. Our happiness depends on our attitude.
Our attitude will determine how we will live our life.
