Wilson Family Get-Together

John Walter Wilson and Ola Diffey Wilson had one daughter, Eula, and 5 sons, Eula's twin, Ullis, Don, Walter Milburn (a/k/a Dubya M), Leon and Sherman. Of the six, two of them stayed in Arkansas, three migrated to Chicago, and one went south to Texas. When the Texan came to the Chicago area for a visit in September of 2001, it triggered a reunion of the cousins for the first time in many, many years.

If you have a slow modem, please be patient. There are a lot of pictures here.

Walter Milburn (a/k/a Dubya M) and Wanda Wilson,
the guests of honor.

The garage of Don and Laferne's home, which was used for the
get-together instead of the back yard because of the rain.

Don & Laferne Wilson, our host and hostess. Their daughter, Mona,
stopped by earlier and was not there when most of the rest of us
arrived, but their four sons were there.

Jerry and his wife.

Larry and his family.

"Little" Don and his family.

Johnny and his son. (His wife and daughter could not be there
due to the daughter's cheerleading responsibilities.)

My immediate family members are quite adept at avoiding my camera
lense, so I didn't get very good pictures of them. The picture of
myself was taken earlier that day using a mirror.

Ullis' widow, Alma, and daughter, Linda, a/k/a Sherry (That's me!)

My son, Jonathan.

My brother, Duane, and his son, Aaron.

Duane's wife, Anna, and daughter, Candace.

My sister, Oleva, and her daughter, Becky.

Four of Aunt Eula's children were also there with their families.

David, his wife, Jeanie, and two daughters.

Dana, her husband, Mike, and their children.

Velma, her husband, Rob, and their daughter.

Sharon, her husband, Eddy, and their son.

While Virginia was not there, her daughter, Charlene (a/k/a Pie)
was there with her two daughters. Below are a couple of close-ups
of the newest one.

Following is an assortment of photographs taken of various people. As you can see, a good time was had by all. Both the pictures above and the ones below are low resolution pictures, optimized for fast download speeds, and probably would not print very well. If any relatives are interested in making printouts, let me know and I will e-mail you the higher-resolution originals.

If you're wondering what Becky is wearing, it's a Spy Cam, which
takes pictures with a press of a button in her pocket.
