FATHERS DAY
Well Fathers Day is here again and I'm sad as can be
because my real Dad is no longer here with me.
But I'll try not to cry and I'll try not to fret
because I still have one good Dad yet.
My step-dad J.D. is as good as can be
always been like a real Dad to me.
He loves my Momma that's for sure
and for her I'm sure they'll never be no more.
He is her soul-mate and I'm so glad that she found
a man that will love her till he's Heaven bound.
And if for some reason Mom should go first
I know it wouldn't be long that J.D. would go from the hurt.
Yes,... Fathers Day is here again
and I'll love my step-dad to the end.
Happy Fathers Day J.D. I'd just like to say
as my heart grows fonder of you with each passing day !
