MY SECOND DAD J.D.
Ever since I was 10 or so,
another love my Mom has known.
J.D. is his name & loving Mom is his game.
On the side he shoots pool & hangs out with friends...
fixes moters and such ...as he's got the touch.
My real Dad never loved Mom as he should...
and often he hurt her ...and was not always good.
It made me mad & sad...
for now Mom's love ...J.D. had.
And oh how I would miss her so...
and long to have her back you know.
But in the end things turned out alright...
as J.D. had enough love to make up for all the fights.
Now my real Dad is gone ...but J.D. is still here...
and I know in Mom's heart ...she holds him so dear.
So Dear Lord up above I thank You this day...
for my 2nd. Dad ...that You sent my way.
