Encouragement
When strength fails and we grow tried and
discouraged, we need someone to come to us, to
show understanding, cheer us up, and inspire
us to have the strength and commitment
to move on. When bills pile up and money
runs short , we need and encourager. When
we make mistakes in our lives and the world
seem to have turned against us, we need an
encourager. When friends and family turn
against us, we need an encourage. Our
strength and resolve weaken. Oh, for some-
one to come beside us and lift us up and
comfort us. Encouragers bring a beautiful
gift, often a spiritual gift, when they bring
renewal though encouragement.

EZRA 5: 1-2
Haggai and Zechariah son of Iddo prophesied,
In the name the God of Isreal to the Jews in
Judah and Jerusalem. Zerubbabel, responded
by beginning the task of rebuilding the temple.

We see here that sometimes all we need is for
someone to get a person involved by encouraging
them to start doing work that is productive.

ACTS 11:23
When he(Barnabas) arrived and saw this
proof of God's favor, he was filled with
joy, and he encouraged the believers to stay
true to the Lord.

Barnabas was known as the "great encourager"
In the bible. He encouraged John Mark and
It helped him to become a great leader in the
church. Encouragement is more than hollow
praise, it is urging others to hold fast to their
principles and there faith when thing
Seems to be falling apart.

PHILEMON 1:11
Onesimus hasn't been much use to you
In the past, but now he is very useful to
both of us.

When we show trust in a person it is
a great source of encouragement to them
we can say are do something that seems a
small thing to us, but it can be just what
they need to keep on keeping on.

Philippians 1: 6
And I am sure that God, who began the good
work within you, will continue his work until
it is finally finished on that day when Jesus
Christ comes back again.

JOSHUA 24:13
I gave you land you had not worked
for, and cities you did not build, the cities
in which you are now living. I gave you
vineyards and olive groves for food, though
you did not plant them.

Encouragement! As we see it is affirming to
others the work they are doing in God.
Also encouragement can come from
reviewing God past blessings.

James 4:10
When you bow down before the Lord
and admit your dependence on him, he
will lift you up and give you honor.

God is our greatest encourager, but he doesn't
encourage the proud, but the humble.
When is the last time you let God use you
to encourage someone who needs to
be lifted up? They may only need a smile,
or ride, a phone call, maybe a cake or pie
more importantly they may need you to pray
for them, or just listen to them.
If we will let God lead us, we can never
go wrong . I pray that we will always
look to the Lord Jesus Christ as our example,
on how to be a blessing to others and be an
encouragement to those in need.
Thank you Lord for loving us. Let
us never stop Praising you Holy name.
