Caring

The seeds of compassion and concern are

buried in the human heart, and when

need appears or tragedy strikes, those

seeds grow to fruition quickly. Anyone

with a sense of humanity is ready and

willing to help another in dire need. Call

it love, concern, compassion, or care, it is

our willingness to reach out, and provide for

others in a time of need, to share with

them, and just to be with them. But among

Christians there is a heightened sense,

or should be a sense of caring.

The very term "Brother and Sisters in Christ."

suggests a richer, deeper relationship

that transcends blood relationship.

Genesis 2:15

The Lord God placed the man in the

Garden of Eden to tend and care for it.

We see here that a caring heart was made

In the "Garden of Eden" in the first person,

Adam. God instilled a sense of caring

for his creation in Adam. God tells us

that he was the first person on earth.

Caring started in "Eden" an has been an

essential part of humanity ever since.

A caring spirit comes from the heart of God.

Deuteronomy 1:31

You saw how, the Lord Your God cared

for you again here in the wilderness, just

as a father cares for his child. Now he

brought you to this place.

If you are a father or mother, you know

that your love is a love, that care about

every aspect of their lives. God, we must

remember, is our model in how we are to

have parental love and caring hearts . He is

to us a spirit of love, and at the same time

a caring spirit. A spirit of caring is part

of a family responsibility.

1st Chronicles 9:28

Some of the gatekeepers were assigned to

care for the various utensils used in worship.

John 2:16

Then going to the people who sold doves, he

told them, ''Get these things out of here.

Don't turn my fathers house into a market place."

As we see, we are encouraged to care for

God house. We honor God by caring for the

place we worship, and were Gods word is taught.

When is the last time, any of us has asked if there

is anything, we can do, in the upkeep of our place

of worship? You see a spirit of caring can apply, not

only to people, but to the work we do for God, and

the things we use in that work. If we neglect God's

house or use it as flea market, it reveals a spirit

of uncaring even for God himself.

Ezra 8:23

We fasted, and earnestly prayed that our God

would take care of us, and he heard our prayer.

1st Peter 5:7

Give all your worries and cares to God,

For he cares about what happens to you.

When we wonder how we are supposed to care

for others, all we have to do, is to look to God

as our example. An exercise would be to list

of all the ways God cares for us, then try to

care for others in the same way.

James 1:27

Pure, and lasting religion in the sight of God,

our Father means, that we must care for orphans

and widows in their troubles, and refuse to let

the world corrupt us.

Though God's plan of salvation he lovingly helped

us do what we could not do on our own. Though

his plan for provision, he expects us to lovingly

do for the needy what they can't do on their

selves. We have to always be aware that God

takes care of us, He cares about our troubles,

He sends his angels to protect us, He is close

to all who call on him, He brings good out of

bad circumstances, and if we will give our

worries to God, he will take them because

He cares about us. Isn't it wonderful to have

God, our Father who loves us so much that

He is always there when we need him, and

that is the way God want us to respond to

those in need. Let us allow God to soften

our hearts toward the needy. Let the love

of God flow though us, let us be the salt of

the earth and the light house he said we were

to be........Amen and Amen!!!
