No matter who we are, what background we come from,
The one thing we all have in common is "hope." A
prisoner on death row, hopes for a pardon and freedom.
We hope for a good marriage, loving children, nice home,
We can go on and on about what we hope for in this life.
The most important hope of all is the freedom from
spiritual death because of consequences of sin. God
offers ultimate hope by forgiving us of our sins.
When life seems impossible, God brings eternal hope.
Hope is essential to our perseverance, our getting
though the tough times. Without hope we give up.
Hope requires one thing, a trust in the one who brings
real hope. His name is Jesus.

1Samuel 1:1-11
Hannah was in deep anguish, crying bitterly as she
prayed to the Lord. And she made a vow "O Lord
Almighty, if you will look down upon my sorrow and
Answer my prayer and give me a son, then I will
give him back to you. He will be yours for his entire
lifetime, and as a sign that he has been dedicated to
the Lord, his hair will never be cut.

We have here in Hannah a woman, that was feeling
hopeless, yet even in the midst of her anguish and
hopelessness she prayed to God, knowing that if any hope
was to be found, it was to be found in God.

We see in here in Proverbs and Psalms that no
matter how hopeless things seem here on earth,
in Christ we have ultimate, eternal hope. People
who don't know Christ have nothing but there
own hopelessness to cling to. But thank God
we who are in Christ know hope is trusting
God to act on our behalf, we know that if we honor
God our hopes can be richly fulfilled.

Philippians 3:13-14
No dear friend, I am still not all I should be,
But I am focusing all my energies on this one
thing, forgetting the past and looking forward to what
lies ahead. I strain to reach the end of the race and
receiving the prize for which God, though Christ
Jesus, is calling us up to heaven.

Isn't is comforting to know that from the beginning
God had plan for our future, God is the one who
gave us hope, and the understanding that hope Involves
our future. God never plans evil or hopelessness for his
people. And his ultimate plan is to give us eternal life
with him in heaven, where pain, sorrow, and suffering
are gone forever.

Now that we are saved, we eagerly look forward to
this freedom. For if you already have something we
don't need to hope for it.

God is in control of our life, salvation come to us
though trust in Jesus Christ , believing he will
do for us what he has promised. Hope is expecting
that he will give us everlasting life and we will be
with him forever. We can't see these things, but we
can hope with assurance, for our hope is built on
a trust in the most trustworthy one of all.

The Cross
At the cross Jesus paid the price
He shed his blood for our sins,
At the cross our hope begin
For eternal life to spend with him.
To all who believe our hope will end
At the cross were our hope began,
Because of the cross that Jesus endured
At the end of the road, we can know for sure.
With Jesus we'll be thoughout eternity.
