Celebration
When we think of celebration, we Usually
think of enjoying ourselves, OF having
a great time with others. We celebrate
anniversaries, birthdays, promotions, awards,
victories, the birth of a child, special
milestones in our lives. We also celebrate
occasions such as the Lords Supper, and
solemn events. What makes celebration
unique is that we take time out from the
ordinary day to honor and to observe something
that is notable, something that is special,
something important to all of us. Whether
we are leaping with joy before the Lord, as
King David, or solemnly listening to God's
word at the Lord's Supper, we stop to
remember, to honor, to worship, and praise.
And the end results of all of this should be
joy, that comes from a full and grateful heart.
God gave us the ultimate reason to celebrate,
because he has rescued us from the consequences
of sin, and shown the wonder of eternity. Those
who love him truly have the most to celebrate.
Deuteronomy 16:10-11
You must celebrate the festival of harvest
to honor the Lord your God. Bring him a freewill
offering in proportion to the blessing you have
received from him. It is a time to celebrate before
the Lord your God at the place at the he chooses
for his name is to be honored. Celebrate with your
whole family, all your servants, the Levites
from your towns, and the foreigners, orphans, and
widows who live among you.

Some Christians think that we as, Christians are
supposed to be serious and solemn to show our
reverence to God, but as we see here, that God
wants us to celebrate for the right reasons.
We celebrate to show our love to God for all he
has done for us, to recall his acts of goodness.

Psalms 47:1
Come everyone, and clap your hands for joy!
And enjoy each others company.
Shout to God with joyful praise!

Psalms 98:4-6
Sing a new song to the Lord, for he has
done wonderful deeds. He has won a mighty victory
by his power and holiness. The Lord has announced
his victory and he has revealed his righteousness
to every nation! He has remembered his promise to
love and be faithful to Israel. The whole earth has
seen the salvation of our God. Shout to the Lord,
all the earth, break out in praise and sing for joy!
sing your praise to the Lord with the harp,
and melodious song, with trumpets and
the sound of the ram's horn. Make a joyful symphony
before the Lord, the king.

Psalm 150:1:6
Praise God in his heavenly dwelling, praise him
in his mighty heaven! Praise him for his unequaled
greatness! Praise him with a blast of the trumpet,
Praise him with the lyre and harp! Praise him with
the tambourine and dancing, praise him with
stringed instruments and flutes! Praise him with
a clash of cymbals, praise him with loud clanging
cymbals. Let everything that lives sing praises to
the Lord. Praise The Lord!!

The Psalmist words offer a very big contrast to
most of our modern experience. As you see in the
above scriptures they are telling God's people to
sing, shout with joy, dance before the Lord, and with
the joy of the Lord, just leaps out at you. It is sad
that our culture has become so reserved that for the
most part, we have limited ourselves in expressing
our joy in the Lord.

1stPeter 4;3
You have had enough in the past of the evil things
that godless people enjoy, there immorality and lust,
their feasting and drunkenness and wild parties,
and their terrible worship of idols.

We see here that there is wrong way to celebrate,
If celebration is self-centered, indulgent, involves
sinful acts, or has conditions that can tempt you
into sin it is wrong. Praise our Lord God, we have been
redeemed and we don't have to live in this
fashion ever again. Thank you Jesus!

DEUTERONOMY 2:7
The Lord your God has blessed everything you have done
and watched your every step through this great
wilderness. During these forty years, the Lord
your God has been with you and provided for your
every need, so that you lacked for nothing.
As we go though life's journey, and all its
milestones, God has been there to supply all that
we need, all though we celebrate for a time of fun ,
a time to get together to eat ,play games and ect.
but most of all it should be a time for giving thanks
to God for all the blessings we have received
from him.

1stKings 8:62
Then the king and all Israel, with him offered
Sacrifices to the Lord

There is times to celebrate, that should be a very solemn
occasions, such as dedicating a child to the Lord,
or a car, house, a ministry and ect. These times
are marked with a special seriousness of commitment.
This kind of celebrate can be a just as meaningful
as the joyous times in celebration. Isn't it wonderful
that we can use every occasion to glorify God,
for his ever flowing blessings.

Luke
15:10In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God's
Angels when even one sinner repents.

Revelation 5:11
Then I looked again, and I heard the singing of
thousands and millions of angels around the
elders.

Again we see here that celebration is a very big part
Of our walk with the Lord. Even heaven is filled
with celebrations and rejoices wildly when one sinner
repents and receives Jesus as there savior. Isn't it
awesome to read how they celebrated the goodness
of God, isn't it sad that we as modern Christians,
have the mind set that if we get a little
exuberant in Church, we are said to be out of order,
or worse we are being led by the devil to disrupt the
service, God help us, we can act like a fool at a sports
game and Ect, but we can't show our love and
thankfulness when we all get together to Praise and
and worship the Lord. We can all agree that there
are some that go a little overboard and because of
this fact, there are some leaders that will not allow
exuberant celebration to happen during there time of
praise and worship. Isn't it better to be to loud, than
to quince the Holy Spirit is such a manner that
that there is no anointing?" I pray not."

Lord let us as your called ones, desire to praise and
worship you as they did in the old days. Lord let us
desire most of all to please you in our celebration of
you, and not be peoples plesers. Lord let us not forget we
draw people to us as Christians by our joy in you Lord.
Lord let us remember, as we truly celebrate in praise
and worship, that though this, the anointing
flows. It is though the anointing that bondage's are
broken, the fetters fall off, and healing flows.
Thank you Lord that you called us to praise you
in celebration of your goodness. Lord help us to
realize that someday we will celebrate in heaven as the
word tells us , but God you never intended us to wait
until then. Lastly Lord, give us the courage to be
obedient to your word.
WE GLORIFY YOUR PRECIOUS NAME LORD!
REJOYCE IN THE LORD ALWAYS
AND AGAIN I SAY REJOYCE!!
AMEN & AMEN
