Life's Changes

There is one thing in life that we can

count on, and that is change. We

can fight it, resist it, or even run

from it, but change is constant part

of this life. Weather from erosion

of time, are a traumatic happening,

people change. Relationships change,

jobs changes, technology changes.

Life indeed can be described as a

process of continual change. Some

changes are positive, a new friend,

a new house, a financial windfall.

Others are negative, a tragic loss,

a job layoff, just to name a few. All

of these cause a change to take place in

our lives. The Bible teaches two

great truths about change. The first,

is that despite the changing world

around us. God is changeless and

dependable. The second is that God

calls for an inner change of heart, a

call to repentance, that produces an

outer change of lifestyle. That change

causes us to be obedient to God's

word, and to our calling.

Hebrews 1:10-12

"Lord in the beginning you laid the

foundation on earth, and the heavens

are the work of your hands. Even they

will perish, but you remain forever.

They will wear out like clothing.

You will roll them up like old coat.

They will fade away like old clothing.

But you are always the same; you

will never grow old."

Mark 13:31

Heaven and earth will disappear, but

My word will remain forever.

Romans 8:28

And we know that God causes everything to

work together for the good of those

who loves God and are called

according to his purpose for them.

There is one thing that we can count

on, to never change in this ever changing

world, and that is trust in the character

of God, to be unchanging and reliable.

We can always place our faith in

Jesus Christ, whose love and grace

is eternal. Praise God, we can build

our lives on God's Word, it's truth is

changeless. God promises that all thing

will work out for our good{not just

some things, but all things} even if it

is something unpredictable. He can

work his will even in traumatic things,

that seem unfair. For He knows the beginning

and the end results.

Luke 19:8

Zacchaeus stood there and said to

The Lord," I will give half my

Wealth to the poor, Lord and if

I have overcharged people on their

taxes, I will give them back four

times as much!"

John 1:10-11

Then Jesus stood up again and said

To her,' Where are your accusers?

Didn't even one of them condemn

you?" " No Lord " she said. And

Jesus said "neither do I. Go and sin

No more."

Acts3:19

Now turn from your sins and turn to

God, so you can be cleaned of your sins.

We know by reading the word of God,

that we can't even hope to change without

first having an personal encounter

with Jesus. God's call is not just for

a change of heart, but for a change

of behavior. We are not suppose to

change in order to get God approval,

but we should want to change in response

to God love for us. We all know that

God Word will not change us unless we

are willing, and allow Him to penetrate

deep in our hearts. Then, and only then,

will our lives change inside and outside.

We can only begin to change, with true

repentance, sadly to many aren't truly

repentant, and yet they still expect God

to over look this fact. Yes, they can

seem to change, but it isn't a heart change,

so it won't last. But Praise God,

he is faithful to forgive our sins, if we

truly repent then change will come to us.

Father God, your Word tells us that when

we become Christians, we become a new

Person. Let us remember that we are

your witnesses for a lost and dying world.

Let us not forget, that if people can't

see a change in us, they can't see Jesus

in us. Help us Lord, to be all you

expect us to be. Let us desire to

change day by day, help us not to put

what we can change today until tomorrow,

Help us Lord to be honest enough to admit

when we need your Grace in order to change,

Lord give us humility to be a willing vessel

In your hands.

Glory to God The One Who was and

Is to come. Amen & Amen!
