Seeking After God

When we think of the word "seek," we think of seeking all kinds of.
things We can define it as being the focus of his or her
desires a golfer strives for a perfect drive, a artist
for rave reviews Big business look for higher returns.
We seek for better job, bigger houses, ect.
The intensity of the things we seek, reveal the
passions and the priorities of our hearts. Our
commitments to our goals, and how much we are committed,
will determine the outcome of achieving our goal.
Isn't it amazing that we can
spend our whole lives seeking things in this world
to quote, unquote to make us happy, successful,
and on and on. Remarkably, the Bible tells us that it is
possible for the human race, to know and experience
the God of the universe in a personal way. What more
lofty goal could one aspire to?" Is God just one among
many pursuits, or is God chief of all our desires?"

John 1:35-41
The following day, "John The Baptist" was again standing
with two of his disciples.
As Jesus walked by, John looked at
him and declared," Look! There is the Lamb of God!"
Then John's two disciples turned and followed Jesus.
Jesus looked around and saw them following "What
do you want?" he ask them. They replied, "Rabbi"
"where are you staying?" "Come and see," he said.
It was about four o'clock in the afternoon when they
went with him to the place, and they stayed
there the rest of the day. Andrew, Simon Peter's
bother, was one of these men who had heard what
John said and then followed Jesus. The first thing
Andrew did was to find his brother, Simon and tell
him, "We have found the Messiah."

We see here, that the first disciples just looked at
Jesus and knew he was" The Lamb God." In order
to experience God we must seek after him with
all our hearts .In order for the disciples to recognize
Jesus for who he was they had to be seeking him.
The first thing Jesus did was to challenge them to confess
their desires, and then called them to Kingdom priorities.
Jesus works in our lives in the same manner as He did
In the Bible days. There are many of God's
blessings, in a life committed to God will. God's rule
in our lives must become our most treasured goal.

Matthew 7:7-8
"Keep on asking, and you will be given what you ask
for. Keep on looking, and you will find. Keep on
knocking, and the door will be opened. For everyone
who ask ,receive. Everyone who seeks, find. And the
door will be opened to everyone who knocks.

God promises us that if we will seek him, we will find him.
He doesn't say maybe we will, He said it is a sure
thing we will find him, and we will know
who he is immediately, "Praise You Jesus!" He
also promised, that when we find him there are
blessings, for seeking after Him. God promises
that, when we seek him and find Him, we will live.

Dear Lord Jesus let us not forget that with out
you .that nothing in this life is worth while.
Lord let us realize that You are truly
"The Lamb Of God. "Help us Lord realize, that
seeking after you is not a one time event.
Help us to stay on our knees until seeking you,
your face we can behold, let us never loss our awe of
your greatness and most of all your love and grace for us
I pray Lord that as we seek you, that as your children
We will be a "Vessel Of Honor," Oh God. Lord you word
tells us that if we will 'Seek your kingdom first all things
will be added unto us ,Lord I pray that we will learn
to look to you and seek after you in all thing.
Amen & Amen.!
