Under The Fathers Wings

If you inquire of people, what they think wisdom

is, they will in most cases say, acquiring great

wealth. Somehow we have been brain washed to

think being intelligent, wealthy, or successful means

we have arrived. But we know, sometimes first

hand that these things, don't guarantee a fulfilling,

balanced, and productive life. When you ask what

discernment means in most cases you will get a

blank stare, this is a word that is not used very

much. Wisdom and discernment work hand in hand.

Discernment is knowing what to do with the

wisdom you have acquired, unless we are able to

discern what is really going on in a situation,

what people are feeling, and what is important,

we will always make wrong decisions. The bible

tells us, that the wisdom is to master life's

challenges and to understand spiritual truth,

that can only be found in God.

We can be born with a certain amount of

intelligence's, but the only way the wisdom

that comes from God can be acquired is

though searching God word and then applying

it to our lives, and most importantly being

obedient to Him. We as Christians have to

be like Solomon, and let wisdom, understanding,

and discernment be the number one

priority in our life in God.

The only way we are ever gain and grow

in wisdom is though God, he is our one

and only source. God's word is an unending

source of wisdom, God promises if we lack

anything, all we have to do is ask, then

when we receive it, we have to apply ourselves

to study the Word. If we would just pay attention

to God's Word, we could save ourselves so much

grief ,catastrophes and wasted time.

All though God's word we see that spiritual

wisdom guarantees us success in our lives. If

we will rely on Spiritual wisdom it will allow

us to avoid the stupidly of the worlds wisdom.

I call worldly wisdom stupidly, because it

leaves us wide open to the wiles of the devil.

Human wisdom unlike God's will not protect us

from evil.

Knowing the Scriptures and gleaning their wisdom

gives us more options, in our decision making and

provides. us with the discernment, that we need to

make healthy choices. If we make the right

decisions, it will be consistent with the principles

of truth found in the word of God. When we seek

after wisdom and discernment and are obedient,

we will then build our house on a firm foundation.

If we as Christians would seek God's wisdom and

discernment in our lives, we would not have the

mess in our Churches and home that we have.

But thanks be to God ,he is only a whisper away.

He is our firm foundation, he always heeds our

every supplication.

Lord we praise your holy name, Lord

help us to seek your wisdom that is not

as the world gives, and let us learn from

your word, how to discern the difference.

Lord we thank you for your promise that

if we lack wisdom and discernment, all we

have to do is ask, and desire it, and it will

be given to us. Praise Your Holy Name!
