Under The Fathers Wings
"Faith Is"

Faith means more than just trusting in what
we believe. For example we may "believe" that if
we drive a car on the wrong side of the road
we won't have an accident, but we know that
is not true. To some that may be far out
thinking, but if we have our faith in anything
or anyone other than God, we are placing our
faith in faith, as i have observed some people do.
That is not what the Bible means by faith.
That is not saying they are not sincere, but
I am sorry to say they are sincerely wrong.
Faith says we are willing to place our lives in
God's hands, we are willing to flower his guidelines.
We are even willing to be made fun of or
persecution for our faith because we are sure that
what we believe is true and we have no doubt
that the Christian life is the best for us now
and for eternity. Faith says God said it, I
believe its so, and that is that. No question
about it.

John 5:24
I assure you, that those who listen to
my message and believe in God who
sent me have eternal life. They will never
be condemned for their sins, but they have
already passed from death into life.

Hebrews 11:1
What is faith? It is the confident assurance
that what we hope for is going to happen.
It is the evidence of things we cannot see.

Our faith has to rest in God and no
one or nothing else other than Him and
Him alone. Faith says we are willing
to trust God with our very lives, and no
matter what life deals us that our faith and
trust is rooted and grounded in the Lord
God almighty and no other. Praise God
faith gives us hope.

Genesis 15:6
And Abram believed the Lord, and the
Lord declared him righteous because of his
faith.

Romans 8:5
Those who are dominated by the sinful
nature think about sinful things, but those
who are controlled by the Holy Spirit
think about things that please the Spirit.

Galatians 5:22
But when the Holy Spirit controls our
lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in
us, love , joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness.

We can't read the Word without realizing
that sin breaks our relationship with God
but the simple act of faith, of asking forgiveness
restores us in God's sight. Abram believed
and was declared righteous because of
his faith. There are so many pluses for us.
It brings peace of mind and it bring
joy in our hearts Love ,patience's
kindness in and kindness toward others.
And to top that off the assurance that at
the end of our life there will be no more
pain and suffering. Faith is what changes
our way of life, and when that happens it
affects our relationships, first with God
and that flows over into our relationships
with others.

Judges 2:10-11
After that generation died, another
Generation grew up who did not acknowledge
The Lord or remember the mighty things he
had done for Israel, Then the Israelites
did what was evil in the Lord's sight and
worshipped the images of Bail.

It is so clear when we read the above
scriptures that one's generation of devotion
to God does not mean the next generation
will have reverence and devotion to God.
But we can leave a legacy of godliness.
In order to do that, we have to spend time
and involve ourselves for a lifetime sharing
God goodness. We can't leave it to chance,
that they will serve and have faith in
God as we do. We have to know and teach
them that, as in the Bible even those that
were called the 'pillow o f faith' we have times
of doubt just as they did. Yes! we do have
times, that doesn't seem fair or right, but that
in those times we keep moving closer ,not further
away from God. If we will do this our
faith will grow beyond measure.

Lord as I close this lesson on Faith
I ask that it will minister, to all of those that
read it, that it will bring life and understanding.
Lord think you for your promises, that if we
will stay strong in your faith you will receive
honor and glory, let this be the cry of our
hearts. Lord let that measure of faith that we
start out with rise within us day by day.
Amen & Amen
