Happiness

Happiness is something every human being is looking for,

we will go to almost any links to find and to acquire

"quote unquote happiness. " Happiness the world knows

is a passing emotion. this kind of happiness depends on

circumstances, if things are going my way, if my family

loves me, if they appreciate me on my job, we can go on and

on with what will make us happy. If all the circumstances

don't line up guess what! NO happiness .The sad part

about this is that even as Christians we can get caught

up in this mind set. So just like people in the world we

keep feeding ourselves with thing and events to keep

us upbeat. Lord help us, the Bible tells us that

if we have Joy, that come from God then we don't need

happenings to keep us happy. We have to learn how to

develop inner joy, because we know no matter what

is going on in our lives God promises us hope.

We find ourselves asking when things seem to be going wrong,

hasn't God promised me happiness? No God doesn't promise us

temporary happiness, in fact in reading the Word he tells us

that problems and sorry will come our way. But He does

promise lasting joy to thoughts of us who believe and put

our trust in Him. This kind of joy stays with us despite

our problems.

Let's face it , if we didn't already know it, as we have

been reading the above scriptures, there is no lasting

happiness apart from God. We have to keep our eyes on

Jesus at all times, not just part, but All the time. We have

to have great respect for God and to truly delight in doing

his commandments. Not when it suit our propose, but even

when it seem to be a great sacrifice. We as Christians

have to begin to realize that happiness is based on God

presence within us, which is the only thing that is going

to bring true contentment, Christian or non- Christian,

without God there is No happiness. It is the Holy

Spirit in our lives that produces joy, faith in God produces

Joy, God has promised that when we truly seek him

we will surly find him. When we are faithful with what

ever God has given us, and we know that we have done

a god job, it brings a sense of satisfaction and that is

As we go though scriptures in the Bible we see that

difficult circumstances help us understand better what

Christ went though for us. As believers we have been made

partners with him. Isn't it ironic that many time in our

Christian walk we seem to think if we are going though

rough time God has deserted us, and as we read in the

word, that is not the case, God promised never to

leave or forsake us. We can know there is hope in God's

promises. He promises us eternal life, and that should fill us

whit the kind of joy and happiness that the things of

the world can never give us. We find if we live long enough

that materially thing won't satisfy , they become to us like

the toy's we give our children, when they get old,

and loose there desirability,

so therefore we have to have new toy's. But happiness is

living and sharing the wonderful news of the salvation

of the Lord. When we truly become the light house that

Christ said we were to be, develop the wonderful relation

with Christ day by day, every day then and only then will

we as a people, find that overwhelmingly joy of happiness

that passes all understanding. Oh thank you my precious

Lord for your loving patients with us. Thank you Lord

that you never give up on us. You are truly the Lord

Of Lord and the King of Kings the soon coming King.
