Loneliness
Loneliness is something that every human
being has wrestled with at some time in our
lives. Those of us that has lost a mate knows
the loneliness hits us, when we least
expect it. Loneliness is caused by many
things. Such as when we feel deserted by
our best friend, our husband or wife.
our children , or when our parents
don't seem to care, even at times it
feels as those our sisters and brothers
in the Lord have misunderstood us.
Loneliness can hit us even when
we are in a busy crowd. I think
we can all agree that the night time is
the worst time, for loneliness to overcome
us we toss an turn seeking comfort from
somewhere ,yet we in our humanness
will for get that our only comfort comes
from Jesus. He, and He alone knows
what is to be deserted, and the awful
feeling of loneliness. There is no one
that can related to our loneliness, like
Jesus.
PSALM 23:4
Even when I walk though the dark valley of
Death, I will not be afraid for you are close
beside me. Lead me by your truth and teach
me for you are the God who saves me. All
day long I put my Hope in you.
Psalm 139 :17
How precious are your thoughts about me,
O God! They are innumerable!
Isaiah 54:10
For the mountains may depart and the hills
disappear, but even then I will remain
loyal to you. My covenant of blessing will
never be broken, says the Lord, who has
mercy on you.
We have to recognize like David, that just
because we are lonely doesn't mean that
we aren't worthy of being loved, or there
is something lacking in us. We have to
remember that we have value as a person
because God made us ,He love's us, and He
promised that He would never leave us, no
matter what or where we find ourselves.
The most important thing is that we don't
leave Him in our times of loneliness.
1st.Kings 19:4
Then he went on alone into the desert,
traveling all day. He sat down under a
solitary broom tree and prayed that he
mighty die. "I have had enough, Lord,"
he said. "Take my life, for I am no better
than my ancestors."
1ST.Kings 19:10
Elijah replied," I have zealously served
The Lord God Almighty. But the people
of Israel have broken their covenant with
you, torn down your altars , and killed
everyone of your prophets. I alone am
left, and now they are trying to kill
me, too "
When we feel lonely, the one thing
we don't want to do is to give up on
God. It will cause us to become
discouraged, start to feel sorry for
ourselves, and that is when the old
devil begin to whisper in our ear and
we can fall in to temptation. When we
can know that loneliness is something
that comes to all of us at some time in
our lives, but we have to remember
that there others in the same shoes we
find ourselves, that we are not alone,
God is with us and will give us comfort
If we will allow him too. God made us and
He will never fail us, praise God! The best
thing we can do is to reach out to thoughts
around us, to get involved with life and
we will find that God has calmed our fear
of loneliness.
Psalm 27:10
Even if my father and mother abandon
me, the Lord will hold me close.
Proverbs 18:24
There are "friends" who destroy each
other, but a real friend sticks closer
than a brother.
Deuteronomy 33:27
The eternal God is your refuge, and
his everlasting arms are under you.
He thrust out the enemy before you,
It is he who cries.' Destroy them!'
Psalm 147:3
He heals the brokenhearted.
Binding up their wounds.
I am sure that we have all felt deserted
sometimes in our lives and that is okay,
if we realize that we can't depend on
people . People are human and they let
us down, turn away from us when we
need them the most. But we can always
count on God , he is not fickle we can
always lean on Him.
3RDJohn 1:5-8
Dear friend, you are doing a good
work for God when you take care of
the traveling teachers who are passing
through, even though they are strangers
to you. They have told the church here
to your friendship and your loving
deeds. You do well to send them on
their way in a manner that pleases
God. For they are traveling for the
Lord and accept nothing from those
who are not Christians. So we our-
selves should support them so that
we may become partners with them
for the truth.
James 1:27
Pure and lasting religion in the sight
of God our Father means that we must
care for orphans and widows in their
troubles, and refuse to let the world
corrupt us.
We see here that we as Christians are to
reach out to those who are lonely, for
what ever reason, be it traveling to
spread the word of God or to orphans
and widows. we are to open our homes,
and hearts. We are to be a friend to
them just as God is a friend to us. If we
want to be God's extended hand, to be
pleasing in His sight, we are to seek out
those that are lonely, no matter there
station in life, like God we are to look
on the heart only.
Lord Help us to reach out to
those that are Lonely, help us be
your ambassador Of love,
understanding, and comfort.
Lord there is so much loneliness
and hurting, open our eyes that
we may see, give us the words to
minister to others in there time of
need. Thank you Lord that you
promise never to leave or forsake
us. We give you all the praise and
glory. Amen &Amen
