God's Provision

We all as humans beings, if we were ask

what our desire is that we want to

accomplish in our lives for the most

part, I am sure our answer would be

to provide for the needs of our family.

Where we seem to have trouble, is when

we attempt to discern the difference

between needs and wants. Does a

child need food, clothing, and emotional

support? Of course they do , but does the

same child need the latest designer -labeled

jacket and shoes or that new sports car

when they turn sixteen? I don't think so!!

Just as our children are our concern, we

are God's, and He loves us, His children,

as we love ours, but when we speak of

the provisions of God's, we have to be

careful to similarly differentiate between

our needs and our wants. While we are often

confused about the difference, Guess what?

God isn't. We must trust God to identify

our needs and meet them by His gracious

provisions. Am I saying , that we should

never give our loved ones more than

just what they need, No! But I am saying,

when we give them to much they become

ungrateful and expect it, and in to many

cases demand what they want. God is the

same way with us, if we will trust, love,

and be obedient Him, He will pour

blessings on us, beyond measure.

God is so Good! Praise His Name!

Joshua 3:1-10

Early the next morning Joshua and all

the Israelites left Acacia and arrived

at the banks of the Jordan River, where

they camped before crossing. Three days

later, the Israelite leaders went though

the camp giving these instructions to

the people: "When you see the Levitical

priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant

of the Lord your God, follow them. Since

you have never traveled this way before

they will guide you. Stay about a half mile

behind them, keeping a clear distance

between you and the Ark. Make sure you

don't come any closer." Then Joshua

told the people, "Purify yourselves, for

tomorrow the Lord will do great wonders

among you among you." In the morning

Joshua said to the priest, "Lift up the Ark

of the Covenant and lead the people across

the river." And so they started out. The

Lord told Joshua, "Today I will begin to

make you great in the eyes of all Israelites

Now they will know that I am with you,

just as I was with Moses. Give these

instructions to the priests who are carrying

the Ark of the covenant: "When you reach

the banks of the Jordan River, take a few

steps into the river and stop." So Joshua told

the Israelites, "Come and listen to what the

Lord your God says. Today you will know

that the living God is among you. He will

surely drive out the Canaanites, Hittites,

Hivites, Perizzites, Girgashites, Amorites,

and Jebusites.

Let's take a look at these scriptures and

break them down and see what God

is saying that applies us even today.

We notice as we read here, that God

really is the same yesterday, today , and

forever. Why do I say that, well because

Joshua, had to be obedient and lead the

others in obedience. In order for God

to provide for them, they had to do exactly

what they were told to do by God, and in

turn the priest, had to do what Joshua

told them to do. Like Joshua and the priest,

we have to obey God, if we expect God's

provisions for us, God is with us, as we

are with our children, it hurts us to see

our children do without. Neither does

God want to with hold from us. As with

Joshua ,God will not only provide for us,

He will make us great in the eyes of the

world. " With God on our side, who

in this world can be against us." There

is nothing good, God will withhold from

us, if we will just look to Him and

and trust Him in providing for us.

We will only know that the living

God is with us, if we are seeking Him

each day for our provision.

Exodus16: 4-12

Then the Lord said to Moses, "Look, I'm

going to rain down food from heaven

for you. The people can go out each

day and pick up as much food as they

need for that day. I will test them in this

to see whether they will follow my

instructions. Tell them to pick up twice

as much as usual on the sixth day of

each week. Then Moses and Aaron called

a meeting of all the people of Israel and told

them, "In the evening you will realize that it

was the Lord who brought you out of the

land of Egypt. In the morning you will see

the glorious presence of the Lord. He has

heard you complaints, which are against

the Lord and not against us. The Lord

will give you meat to eat in the evening

and bread in the morning, for he has

heard all your complaints against him.

Yes, your complaints are against the

Lord, not us." Then Moses said to Aaron,

"Say this to the entire community of Israel:

'Come into the Lord's presence, and hear

his reply to your complaints." And as Aaron

spoke to the people, they look out toward

the desert. Within the guiding clouds,

they could see the awesome glory of the

Lord. And the Lord said to Moses, I have

heard the people's complaints. Now tell

them, " In the evening you will have meat

to eat, and in the morning you will have

be filled with bread. "Then you will know

that I am the Lord your God."

We see in the above scriptures, human nature

in all it's glory. Here we have the children

of Israel, that God in His love for them,

raised Moses up to lead his people out of

bondage. They didn't even have get there

feet wet crossing Red Sea, God, parted it for

them, and drown their enemies

in the process.

The Lord filled their ever need, yet they were

not satisfied, they kept complaining for

something else to eat. Does that sound familiar?

It seem that sometimes, what we do for our,

children, or God does for us, isn't enough. As

we read further, we find that

the only requirement

was for them to gather only

what they needed, but as we

read ,some got greedy. Their struggle with

greed and disobedience, caused Moses and

Aaron to have, distribution problems with the

people because of their griping

and complaining

all the time, and yet with all that,

God never stopped

providing for their every needs. His love for

them was not depending on their attitudes,

but as with us, when we are never satisfied always

complaining, it only slows

down provisions being

provided for us, and our going forward in life's

journey. When we come against our employers,

our parents and ect., we have to realize that we

are really coming against God. That is heavy!

2nd.Peter 1:3-4

As we know Jesus better, his divine power

Gives us everything we need for living

a Godly life He has called us to receive his

own glory and goodness! And by that same

mighty power, he has given us all his

riches and wonderful promises. He has

promised that you will escape the decadence

all around you caused by evil desires

and that you will share in his nature.

As we see here in these scriptures, God has

provided us with resources from His own

character to those who seek Him. If we

lack any provisions and resources in the

Lord, it is not on the Lord's side, the

burden rest on us. Never content, always

complaining , can't be pleased, how

do we expect, to receive what God has for us?

It is when we realize that God only has good

for us, that we allow Him to provide for our

every need.

John 6:35

I am the bread of life. No one comes to me

will ever be hungry again. Those who believe

never thirst.

God realized that yes, we hunger and thirst

for food and water, we would hunger and thirst

again, but if our hunger was met with the in filling

of our heart with the love and power of Christ

Himself, then and only then will we find that

He is the bread of Life. God and God alone

can hope to provide.

Ephesians 1:6-8

So we praise God for the wonderful

kindness he has poured out on us

because we belong to his dearly loved

son. He is so rich in kindness that he

purchased our freedom thought the

blood of his son, our sins are forgiven.

He has showered his kindness on us,

along with all wisdom and understanding.

We can see here that though the riches

of God grace, He has provided for our

greatest need. The most important provision

that has been provided for one and all is

forgiveness of our sins though the Shed

Blood of Jesus Christ, the living Son of God.

Our Father, I praise for your love

and your goodness, Father your mercy

is forever and ever. Thank you Father for

your provisions for us. Lord let us all be filled

with love, and thanksgiving in our hearts.

Let us Father never to forget were our

every breath of life comes from. Let

those of us who are called by your name,

never cease give your Thanks and Praise.

Father for those that may not know your

Son, may they accept the great sacrifice you

made for them, though your son Jesus.

Father, let not a one of us forget that without

You we are nothing, but with you we are

everything. Father thank you,

for your unfailing love and provisions.

In Jesus name I pray.

Amen & Amen.
