Justice God's Way

As human brings we are all different, and yet
in many way's we are the same under the skin.
For a good example, when we are wronged by
others we cry out for justice. Yet we are not
happy, if it takes more time than we thank it
should, to get the justice we think we deserve.
But watch what we do when we wrong God, we
begin to cry out for God's mercy. Fortunately,
God is merciful, praise God! But the word tells
us if we don't accept his merciful gift of salvation,
we are subject to God's justice, the punishment
of eternal death and separation from God. Until
God sets up his eternal kingdom, where perfect
justice prevails, justice will continue to be needed
on earth. Both justice to urge us toward his kingdom,
and the law and order to keep anarchy from ruling. God
wants us to learn His lessons regarding mercy and
justice. While justice provides law and order, mercy
provides hope and forgiveness. Let's look at His
formula for restoration.

Psalm6:1-3
O Lord do not rebuke me in your angry or
discipline in your rage. Have compassion on
me, Lord for I am weak. Heal me, Lord for
my body is in agony. I am sick at heart. How
long, O Lord, until you restore me.

Ezra9:15
O Lord, God of Israel, you are just. We stand
before you in our guilt as nothing but an
escaped remnant, though in such a condition
none of us can stand in your presence.

When we do wrong in God's sight as we see
here in the above scriptures, we are not to beg
for justice, but for pity so he will forgive us
and not punish us. Since as we know life is not
in most cases fair, we are to ask God's mercy
in order that we receive mercy and not judgment.

2nd.Thessalonians 1:5-6
But God will use his this persecution to show
his justice. For he will make you worthy of his
kingdom, for which you are suffering, and in his
justice he will punish those who persecute you.

When we are burdened with troubles, it is
tempting to think that God is not fair and
just. We find ourselves asking, ourselves
and others how can he let such and such
go on. How can God allow us to suffer, when
so many "unbelievers" and Yes "pretenders"
that we know are prospering? But we are told
in God's word His justice will prevail. No one
can mock God, and not pay the cost soon or
later. God is always fair and just.

Exodus 23:1-3
Do not pass along false reports. Do not
cooperate with evil people by telling lies
on the witness stand. Do not join a crowd
that intends to do evil. When you are on the
witness stand, do not be swayed in your
testimony by the opinion of the majority.
And do not slant your testimony in favor
just because that person is poor.

John 14:15
If you love me, obey my commandments.

Amos 5:24
Instead I want to see a mighty flood of justice,
a river of righteous living that will never run dry.

Psalm 58:11
Then at last everyone will say, "There truly is
a reward for those who live for God; surely
there is a God who judges justly here on earth.

Revelation 20:12-15
I saw the dead, both great and small, standing
before God's throne. And the books were opened,
including the Book of Life. And the dead were
judged according to the things written in the
books, according to what they had done. The sea
gave up the dead in it, and death and the grave
gave up the dead in them. And death and the grave
were thrown into the "lake of fire ". This is the second
death- the "lake of fire". And anyone not found in the
"Book of Life" was thrown into the "lake of fire".

John 14:6
Jesus told him," I am the way, the truth, and
the life. No one can come to the Father
except though me.

We find in the scriptures above, the
reason why we should strive for justice.
We are to pursue justice out of our love
for God. He commands us to be just. When
we seek justice, God will reward us it may not
be when or even the way we think it should
be, but God is always on time and in control.
We have to know, that we know that God is
truth and at all cost we mustn't let ourselves
get bitter, if we want to live for God, we must
uphold truth at all cost or we ourselves become
an accomplice to injustice.

Psalm 82:3
Give fair judgment to the poor and the
orphan; uphold the rights of the oppressed
and the destitute.
![]()
Psalm 58:6-7
Break off their fangs, O God! Smash the
jaws of these lions, O Lord! May they
disappear like water into thirsty ground.
Make their weapons useless in their hands.

When we belong to the family of God, we
have to speak out against injustice. It may not
be the poplar thing, or the comfortable thing.
But it is what the Word tells us we are to do.
We are to pray that God will intervene. The
one thing we must not do is stop doing what is
right in the sight of God. We must not give up,
and become unjust, we have to be careful not to
repay evil for evil. We can't seek revenge,
that makes us no better than they. The Lord tells
us that revenge is His. Believe me I know how
hard it is for us, not to go after those that has
caused ourselves and our loved one's hurt and
harm. When we see that justice has been
abused, we are to go to God in prayer and fine
out what he requires of us. After doing all we
can, then we turn loose and just stand on the
Word of God. God is full of justice and
His Word clearly tells us what sin is, and
what its consequences will be. We must
remember, all people are treated equally in His
sight. God is merciful in that he offers a way
to be spared the punishment we deserve,
just think what shape we would be in if we
always got the justice we deserve. God shows
us how justice and mercy relate to one another.
Justice punishes evil, crime and wrong doing,
and mercy forgives them.

Father God, thank you for your Word, help
us to remember that your Word is everlasting.
Help us to be pleasing in your sight, to be what
you called us to be. Let us not forget that justice
and mercy are in your hands. We believe that
Romans 8:28, means that things will work out
for us, that are called for your purpose.
In Jesus name we pray Amen & Amen.
