DADDY

Daddy is only but a name until you become one,
Then your whole life lights up through a daughter or a son,
You never knew someone needed you so very much,
Until God put that little hand in little yours, and oh, the magic touch.

Like magic flooding through your heart and soul,
This little elfin child in your heart, your whole life you'll hold,
No matter the age, even until death knocks at your door,
This child will be on your mind, this child you'll e'er adore.

Will it cause you grief? Maybe or not, but all the same,
When your child needs you, you'll call out his name,
In awesome wonder, in joy, in fear you'll always know,
That what they do, or where this child goes, your heart will also go.

Be it girl or boy, or even both, it matters not, after all its your blood,
You'll worry if its a skinned knee or if there's tears to cause a flood.
The sweetness of a first step, or the first tryke it tried to ride,
Cant you feel the fear if your child falls and your heart aches inside?

That's what love is all about, to replenish the earth with its own,
Knowing one day this child will grow up and have his or her own home,
Knowing you'll walk together all this old life through,
But Lord in between; please show me all the things you'd have me do.

To teach my own child about Thee Lord, how to kneel and Pray,
Teach them to love their neighbor, each and every day,
All the joy in doing for others as you would have them do unto you,
And Lord, bring them on home to meet us when their day is through.

DEAR DAD

Happy fathers day to you dad, each and every wonderful day,
Not just the one that shows on the calendar once a year this way,
I am so happy you are my dad, you have been a blessing to me
Each and every day of my life, good things my mind doth see.

A good husband to my mom and the love of your own life,
The day you stood at the end of an aisle and made her your wife,
Thank you for giving me her, and for the wonderful father you have been,
If I had my life to live over, Id choose you for my dad again.

Love comes in many fashions and forms, and doth warm us well,
But dad, you are the one of whom stories Id surely like to tell,
How you helped me with my doll when its leg came off one day,
Or, as my brothers bike broke, you told him , Ill fix it, its okay.

When I had my first crush, you explained the things of life to me,
Helped me see every side and in living, how we ought to be.
When you came home from work, you asked about school, you were there,
You taught me the meaning of love, as you taught me about Prayer.

So I wanted to express today, my feelings and thanks for all you did do.
Even though I’m sending this in care of God, to give to you,
I miss you my dad, but one day I will join you in Heaven there,
Along with mama, and all the other loved ones, worshiping there in Prayer.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

Happy Fathers day dear God, I pray from each child you’ll hear today,
To thank you for the many Blessings and to help us on our Heavenly way,
We thank you for your love, and for giving you dear Son upon a Cross,
That your children here on earth, could choose Him and never suffer loss.

We know Thou gave a portion of Thine own self as Ye are the Trinity three,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit, one day let us be there, e’er with Thee,
That we may give all glory and honor to Thine own self forever and ever,
To claim any glorious thing for our own, in this old world, and far beyond, never.

Happy Fathers Day my Father, I’m so very glad you love me so true,
Had it not been for Thy loving Son, Jesus, we’d have not a chance to be with you,
To have you make us safe upon Thy bosom, as with her chicks, doth the mother hen,
And though we run and scatter every now and then, you take us back again.

I know Thine own Son, Jesus must tell Thee often, of His own divine sweet love,
As ye sit on the golden Throne there in Heaven, over Jordan’s banks above,
Help us to serve You Oh my Father above, Help us to make as eiderdown,
A humble plea of Thee to make for us of our love to Thee a little Crown.

As a symbol of our love for our dear Father over there in Glory this day,
Unshed melodies inside our hearts forever, ‘til we meet Thee to stay,
Melodies of mercy you have given, to each and every single one this way,
So we are wishing to Thee our Father in Heaven, a Very happy Fathers Day.
