Dreaming Part 2Dreaming Part 1If you haven't read the first part of the dream and would like to, please follow this link. Part 2Now I was flying in clouds. I was not in control of where I was, or where I was going, but I didn't care. I knew God was here and that was enough. Something inside me said, "Hey, how many times are you going to get this opportunity? Use it!" At the risk of sounding like an arrogant superior making a demand, I shouted at the top of my lungs, "Show me You, God. Show me, You!"I fazed out of that scene and into another. It felt like what I would imagine Star Trek beaming feels like. I was in a house, and by one of those unexplainable dream things, I knew it was my house. It was amazing. In Rick Joyner's books "The Final Quest" and "The Call", he describes highways and houses which he didn't think were in Heaven, but were on Earth after the millennial reign had begun. That's exactly the feeling I had about this house. It was at least three stories tall with a slanted roof. One entire wall and one third of both side walls were made up of nearly one hundred percent glass. The house was completely open to all who passed by. There were no curtains or blinds anywere. The only room in the house that was closed off was the bathroom. The building was somewhat dug into the ground so that the bedroom was slightly underground on the bottom floor. I didn't get a chance to see the rest of the house. The reason why will become apparent. That's partially why I won't explain more about the house, but partially because it's so difficult to put into words. It was incredible. I looked at the amazing view outside. Everything was beautiful and perfect. The grass, the trees, the buildings, even the pavement was pristine and full of life. You could see for miles in three directions. A noise caught my attention and I saw my two children run by laughing, and my wife gracefully passed by on her way up stairs. They were not my real wife or children, (My son had not even been born yet.) but it was again one of those dream things where you just know what's going on. I decided that if the Lord put me here, then He wanted me to explore to more fully understand what He was showing me. I started with the bedroom, but didn't get very far. A noise of some sort caught my attention. My children were crying and my wife was disturbed. I ran back to my place looking outside. I looked left and I saw it coming, in the distance at first, but it was moving closer. I looked right and saw the same thing moving towards us. Now, I don't know what natural disaster frightens you the most. I live in a tornado rich area and they don't frighten me, but I don't want to live in an area prone to earthquakes or hurricanes. I've heard of people who live in California who don't bat an eyelash at an earthquake but can't figure out why anybody would want to live in tornado alley. Some people live in hurricane areas or near volcanoes and don't care. I am of the opinion that we get used to the dangers near us, but the unknown dangers we've only heard of frighten us the most. The most unknown, and therefore most fearfully unstoppable disaster involves meteors. You can't hide under them and you can't fly above them. That is exactly what was coming towards us on both sides. Basketball sized meteors were striking the ground everywhere around me, and they were getting closer. I did the only thing I could do. I called everyone to me, we gathered against a wall in the partially underground basement, and I wrapped my arms around them in a feeble gesture of protection. It was really weird. I knew it was a dream, and yet I was convinced that I was going to die. I don't know if that speaks more to the vividness of the dream or if it speaks more to my fear of meteors, but I was praying. My final prayer, so to speak, was one of thanksgiving. I knew God was stronger than the meteors, and if He saw fit to get us out of this, then He could, but I thanked Him for all that He had given me, most of all His Son upon the cross for me. I knew that if this was my end, then I would see Him face to face in Heaven, and that was more than ok with me. I waited to die... and waited... and waited... Finally, my fear was overcome with curiousity. It seems funny now, but I looked up quizically as if to say, "Hey, come on. Why haven't we died yet? What's going on here? Pick up the pace a little." I told my family to stay put. I was going to go see what was happening. What I saw, to this day, is the single greatest visual experience of my life. I walked back to my original viewing place. The blue sky had caught fire. Meteors were falling, almost in slow motion, all around. Bright yellow, orange, red balls of fire smashed into the ground on all side. Everything that was pristine and perfect, was now gone, obliterated by the unstoppable force. And yet, my house of glass was untouched. Not only was it untouched, but I knew absolutely that it would not be touched. I stood in awe at the scene around me and I knew what God wanted to reveal to me in a special way in that dream. If I abide in Him, I mean truly abide in Him, not just in word to appease my guilty conscience and satisfy a condemning public, but truly live with Him and Him with me, loving and obeying in all things, I would not simply survive the trials, I would thrive in them. I would look forward to the most devastating trials for the amazing experience of just watching God at work. And then, I woke up. I am the pen. | |||||||
